As long as Regina didn’t start an argument, Dexie couldn’t care less whether her polite smile was real or fake.

She gave Regina a brief glance, then calmly picked up her fork and started eating.

But the quiet didn’t last.

Marcus scoffed loudly, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “We all waited for you, and now you can’t even apologize? And you just start eating like nothing happened? Where are your manners? Didn’t your dead mother teach you anything?”
