Alpha Caleb’s POV

I had searched everywhere for Kaia, but it was all in vain. Three days had passed since she disappeared, and every second that ticked by made my worry grow sharper, like a blade against my chest. I was certain she had nowhere safe to go.

My phone rang loudly, jolting me out of my thoughts. I glanced at the screen—it was my grandfather. He had been calling non-stop since the day Kaia vanished. I hadn’t answered; nothing else mattered until I found her.
