I stare at him for several long seconds, my throat suddenly dry, my words caught somewhere between my mind and my lips. If I say I dislike the idea of staying with him, I’d be lying. But admitting that I want to stay is dangerous because the truth is, I don’t know this man. Not really. I only met him today.
