Selena did not scream when they came for her.

That surprised everyone.

She stood in the center of the courtyard, wrists bound with moon-silver cuffs that dulled what little power remained inside her. Her hair was unbraided, her fine clothes replaced with a plain dark cloak. No sigils. No jewels. Nothing that marked her as anyone important.
