Ava's p.o.v We had settled in and only our families knew that we were back home and maybe a few of Liam's associates because today was the grand opening of our new branch.

“Babe you always take forever to get ready,” I overheard Liam complaining from the living room.

“I'm almost done,” I replied while puffing my hair in a loose ponytail.

“You have been saying that for the past one hour right Angel?” He asked Halsey who also agreed.

“Guys see,this time I meant it…I'm done,” I walked out of the bedroom.

“Oh my gosh mummy!! You look like an angel…so beautiful!” She ran up to me and I lifted her up in a hug.

I was putting on a light blue gown which was body hanging which made my curves visible and it was V-shaped with an open back.

I looked over at Liam but he was frozen…his mouth was open in awe and I think his eyes were sending images that couldn't process.

“Hey babe is everything okay?" I snapped at him and he came back to life.

“Daddy,are you okay?” her girl asked him.

“Yes yes my baby,I'm perfectly fine but I was just mesmerised by an angel who just walked in,” he walked towards me and wrapped his hand around my waist and pulled us towards him because I was still carrying Halsey.

He kissed me on the lips then our baby covered her eyes with her tiny palms.

“My baby is feeling shy!” He kissed Halsey on the forehead before taking her in his hands and started tickling her then they started playing and the room was filled with her laughter.

“Babe,I don't think I'm safe,” he stared at me.

“What are you talking about?” I dumbly asked.

“If my jaw dropped after laying my eyes on you,now imagine how other guys will react after you walk in!“ he seemed worried.

“Babe,I don't care about anyone,your reaction is the only one that matters to me,” I kissed him on the lips then he went back to tickling Halsey and chasing her around the house.

“Guys stop playing,let's get going…I don't want to be late for my big day,” I picked my car keys from the table and moved towards the door.

“So you're driving us today?” He asked me.

“Of course yes,” I opened the door for them and after stepping out,I closed the house then we moved to the car.

We reached the venue and everything was on point, from the decoration to the lighting which gave the whole place a delightful ambience.

“Babe, you take your seat here with Halsey,I need to meet some people over there,” Liam instructed me before leaving.

I sat down with Halsey and people came in one by one and took up the seats while others came by our table and congratulated me before proceeding to their table.

“Guys,thank you so much for honoring our invitation. Please feel at home and grab anything to eat,” Liam said on the mic.

In the next hour,the place was filled up with many business associates and after having something to eat,I heard Liam calling me up on the stage.

“I would like to invite my fiance,personal assistant and business partner who will be managing this branch plus our lovely daughter up here on stage,” everyone turned their gaze to where me and Halsey were seated.

I held Halsey's hand and we stood up then made our way up to the stage but I almost missed a step because of anxiety due to many eyes which were stuck on us.

We reached the stage and Liam lifted her little girl up to his chest while she wrapped her tiny hands around his neck.

I took the mic and said,

“Thanks everyone for turning up and I know most of you honored the invitation because it's Liam who invited you and I don't take it for granted…Like he said,I'm going to be the manager of our new branch and I can't wait to work hand in hand with you all because I want to keep this friendship and partnership you have with Liam on the road. I don't want to take more of your time,please carry on with the evening ,eat ,drink and have a blast,” I concluded and everyone stood up to give me a round of applause.

“You did well babe,” Liam pulled me in a hug before we left the stage.

“Please stay with Halsey for a while let me first use the washroom,” I pecked him then made my way to the washroom but I was moving in the corridor when someone pulled me by my elbow and dragged me to an empty room.

“Herman what the hell?” I jerked my hand off from his grip.

I was surprised to see him because I took time to look around at our guests but I didn't trace out his face and for a second I thought he didn't turn up but here he is.

Yes,we invited him because he and his dad are part of Liam's board members.

“Where did you and that stupid man run to for six fucking years?” He pinned me on the wall.

“You didn't know because it was none of your business so back off,” I pushed him away.

“And that little girl? Is she Liam's daughter?” He held my hand again.

“Yes she is,you thought we adopted her or what?” I asked him.

“And that fool called you his fiance! He proposed to you when we haven't signed the divorce papers yet! Ava what more happened in those six years?” He held me around my waist with his other hand around my neck and he closed the gap between us.

I started breathing heavily and before I could process what was going on,he brushed his lips on mine and we were both breathing so heavily.

“Ava I still want you,please tell me that kid isn't yours with Liam,” he intensively kissed me before I could come up with an answer.

“It's been six years and you haven't moved on?” I whispered.

“Ava I can't…it's you I want…only you,” he kissed me more.

“Enough Herman,I'm soon getting married so let it sink,please I need to go,” I tried pushing him away but all in vain.

He moved his finger tips on my open back and slowly moved his hand to my boobs and squeezed one on the left and my eyes instantly shut.

He bent down and kissed my neck and one hand squeezed in my butt cheeks and a moan escaped my mouth.
