Ava's p.o.v When heard a knock on the door and Liam answered them,

“Please come in,”

“Sir it's time,” the secretary walked in with her eyes focused on her boss.

“Have they come already?” He stood up and closed his laptop.

“Yes sir,they just settled in the boardroom,” she replied while standing straight.

“Oh okay good,please take my laptop. I will follow you shortly,” he handed her the laptop before she walked out of the office.

“Babe I'm going to find you here please don't move an inch,” he moved to my desk to meet me.

“What do you mean stay here?” I leaned back in my seat and stared at him.

“Would you like to go out and take a walk for a while?” He asked

“Are you kidding me right now?!” I asked.

“Babe, what's wrong? I would wish to stay here with you but I have people waiting for me in the boardroom right about now,” he held my hand and made me look at him.

“It's the same reason why I came here with you in the first place…I want to attend the meeting with you since I'm your personal assistant rather than sitting here doing nothing,” I replied.

“Ohh that was your point all along! I'm sorry for taking a long to click it my love,” he kissed me on my neck and slowly moved up on my lips and we kissed each other.

“We should not make our business partners wait, let's get going…we shall pick up from there after the meeting,” I pulled back from the kiss.

“Okay let's go baby girl,” he offered me his hand and I stood up from my seat.

We moved down the hallway to the boardroom where everyone was waiting for us.

“Good afternoon everyone,we are truly sorry to keep you guys waiting but we can start now,” Liam said.

“It's okay Mr.Liam,we were just sitting here for a few minutes before you got here so no worries, apology accepted,” one of the men in the room replied.

“Oh I'm glad,please let's get started Mr.chairman,” I instructed.

“No wait please,one of our colleagues is just a few seconds away to get here,I have just received a text from him that he's from the parking lot and now heading in here…kindly let's start when he gets here,” one of the men suggested.

“Oh okay no problem then,” the chairman replied.

We sat there for just a few minutes when the door opened and a familiar figure walked in the room and it was none other than Herman, my ex husband…my heart sunk.

Surprisingly,when he walked in,all these men were familiar with him and they all stood up to welcome and greet him with big smiles and hugs

“Now that Mr.Wilson is here,let's start off with the presentation Mr.Liam,” the chairman of this meeting said out loud.

“Uhm I suggest to end the meeting with the presentation please as a wrap up,kindly take through everyone how the project will be handled,” Liam requested the chairman.

“Okay sir,everyone kindly open the file in front of you and move with me….” the chairman instructed everyone in the room and they did as he said.

“Baby girl,please tell me the truth,is Herman's second name Wilson?” Liam murmured while putting his hand over the mouth not to draw attention in the room.

“Yes his full name is Herman Wilson,” I replied in the same manner.

“Whatttt?!!!” his eyes almost fell out of his socket.

“Why are you so surprised?! What's the big deal with his name?” I asked while keeping my lips together and my teeth intact.

“Haven't you heard of the Wilson’s family before??” he asked with his eyes widely open in shock.

“Nope,why?” I rolled my eyes while asking because I didn't give a fuck about Herman's name whatsoever.

“That was such a good take,uhm Mr.Liam m,do you have anything else to add on?” One of the men in the room called for his attention before he could answer my question.

“Uhm please I will need everyone’s attention drawn to the screen so that I can go deep in what Mr.chairman has discussed earlier,” he turned on the projector and we all focused on what was being displayed.

When it comes to presentations,this man is a hundred good hands down,he can explain everything in full detail effortlessly and I'm so driven by his talent because he does it so well…Believe me when I say that the room went dead silent for almost ten minutes when he was presenting and once he was done,everyone gave him around of applause because he did so well.

“Mr.Liam that was such a very deep and detailed presentation, I think me and my partner we are already convinced and willing to move on with this project from start to finish,” one of the men appreciated him

“Of course we agree,he is very hardworking and by this presentation,our profits will have no future questions,” Another one added.

“Uhm excuse me everyone,I also admit that this was a presentation of one kind but there's one more thing I need from Mr.Liam,if he agrees with me then we can even kick start tomorrow,” Herman interrupted while leaning back in his seat like a boss.

“Yes Mr.wilson go ahead and ask my boss what you want,” Mr.chairman replied.

“Well,I was of a view,how about he makes his personal assistant the face of this whole project while Mr.Liam stays back in office to run the rest of the work,” he curved his lips in a smirk while making eye contact with me.

“Come on Mr.Wilson,that's a very small issue at hand not so Mr.Liam?” one of the members asked and everyone turned their gaze at us.

“Uhm uhm I mean yes it is,” Liam replied while stammering.

“I didn't get an answer sir,does that mean,your personal assistant Miss Ava will be the face of this project from start to finish?” Herman asked again.

“Yes,that's right,” Liam replied and I looked at him with disappointment but when I looked at his hands beneath the table,he had already folded them into fists ready to punch someone’s face.

“There you go,” Herman replied while laughing and everyone in the room clapped along with him except me and Liam.

“So that being said,first thing tomorrow morning,we will be visiting the piece of land where our project will be running…I will be accompanied by Miss Ava and my other two members here…guys that's it from me,” Herman stood up and left the boardroom.

“Mr.Wilson a minute please before you leave,” one of the members ran after him.
