The following day,we went to office as usual but I saw Herman's kid brother Alvin in the lobby and when he saw us entering with Liam,he stood up,“Hey what's up?” I asked him.

“Boss good morning…Ava good morning,can I have a word with you please before you proceed to your office?” He asked

“Oh okay,Liam I will catch up with you in a few,” I agreed and Liam excused us

“Thank you so much,” Alvin said

“Okay whatever it is please make it fast because you realize we are in working hours right!”I told him

“Uhm Ava yesterday evening i got a phone call from the security guard and I had to rush back here immediately,” he said.

“What happened?” I asked

“Well it was Herman,he was a nuisance and he could barely move because he was dead drunk and they found him in our parking lot so they called me to help him get back home,” he explained.

“I'm surprised that he failed to go back home!” I said.

“What do you mean??” He asked

“Alvin,I was there when he came and after talking to him I left him there because he was stinking like shit because of too much drinking,” I replied

“Ohh I see…Ava I was really embarrassed because he is my big brother and I was disappointed that he was wasted like that…please Ava you need to help him and talk to him,” he asked

“We already talked yesterday and there's nothing more to it,” I replied.

“Ava you can make him understand that you no longer need him in your life in a good way but I believe the reason why he is acting like this,is because you want a divorce,”he said.

“Alvin of course I want a divorce and if he decided to waste his life just like that then there's nothing I can do about it,”I replied.

“Ava please talk to him that's all I'm asking for,please,” he pleaded

“Okay Alvin I will see what to do but I'm not promising anything,” I replied

“Thank you so much Ava and thanks for giving me your time to hear me out,” he thanked me.

“You are welcome Alvin,now let's go and work,” I lightly touched his shoulder then we walked to our respective offices.

“Hey is everything okay??” Liam asked

“Yes please…,” I told him what went down between me and Alvin.

“Are you sure you want to meet him??” He asked

“Yes Liam,let's do this once and for good because I'm tired of all this drama,” I replied

“So what's your plan,how are you doing this?” He asked

“I'm going to call him up and we meet at a convenient place so that I put some sense into his head,” I replied

“Okay Ava may the force be with you…but incase of anything,don't hesitate to call on me,” he suggested and I nodded my head.

We started working and everything was going on so well until I got a package from an unknown sender and I nearly spit out my heart.

We heard a knock on the door and Liam told whoever was behind the door to get in.

“Uhm good afternoon guys,miss Ava I have a package for you,” the receptionist said.

“From whom, if I may ask?” I asked her

“Well the delivery guy dropped it and told me to bring it here but he said there's a note inside from the sender,” she said.

“Oh okay bring it here,thank you,” I thanked her then she left the office.

“Is today your birthday??” Liam asked

“Haha no and even if it was,I have never gotten any gift from anonymous sender but anyways let me check it out,”I replied

I opened it but I quickly stood up and ran at the back

“Ava what is it??” Liam asked

“Come and check it out,”I took more steps away from my desk

He stood up from his seat and walked towards my desk then opened the package to take a look

“What the hell!!!??” He took steps behind while covering his mouth with a hand and nearly wanted to puke.

“Who in the world would send you such a package?? Ava are you at war with anyone??” He asked

“Liam trust me I'm not because I love peace so there's no way I can put up a fight with anyone,” I replied

“Wait,there is a note…it says,if you don't stay away from Liam,then get ready to see your heart cut out like this,” Liam read it out

First of all this psycho sent the heart of a mammal and only God knows which specific animal they got the heart from…it was so fresh and the box was filled with blood.

“Do you have any idea who might want to scare you like this?” Liam asked

“Of course it's Herman nobody else,” I replied

“Are you sure??” He asked

“Liam of course I'm not sure but he is the only one who doesn't want you near me,” I replied

“Oh I understand,okay so what are we going to do about this because this is serious??” He asked.

“I think I'm going to meet him today after work because this is going out of hand and he is definitely crazy,” I replied

Liam took the package to dispose of it outside as I pulled myself together because that shit was freaking scary.

“Hey I think you should text or call Herman immediately,” Liam said after walking back to the office

“Yeah you're right,” I replied

I got my phone and texted him to meet me at our usual hang out spot and he agreed that he will be there at 8pm.

We went out for lunch with Liam and I wanted to stay back in the office but he insisted and we went to some restaurant across the street and it was a good idea because it made me relax a bit.

After lunch,we went back to the office and carried on with work but I realized that there was an envelope on my desk which wasn't there when I left and I wondered who put it there!? I opened it and it read,

“I just warned you to stay away from Liam but you decided to go out on lunch with him! Okay maybe I should take another step,”

“Liam please take a look at this…how did this person get inside our office? Liam now I'm so scared,who the hell is trying to mess with me??” I started pacing around the office.
