“Ava,if this is Herman trying to scare you off then we should definitely do something it,” Liam suggested after trashing the note“Liam let me go and meet him right away before he does another stupid thing…I can't believe he even went an extra mile and broke into our office!!” I replied

“Yah, that was insane…but Ava can we go together? because after what he did today,I don't think you're safe around him,” he said

“Yeah you're right…okay let's leave right now,” I replied

“Okay but where are we going to meet him??” He asked

“At the club,usually at this time he was never home so I think the club is the first place to check out,”I replied

“But why don't you just call him or send him a text so that he can tell you exactly where he i?” Liam asked

“No way,I want to reach him unnoticed so that he doesn't raise up any excuse,” I replied

“Okay I understand…then let's get going,” we stepped out of the office and hit the road.

We reached the club and as usual it's dull from the outside but when you enter,that's when you meet party animals…I told Liam to wait from the car and he agreed.

“Hey excuse me,is this guy here?” I showed the bartender Herman's pic from my phone.

“Yah he just walked in,” he replied

“Okay perfect,can I please meet him?” I asked him

“Mhhh it seems this is your first meeting with him right?” He asked while checking me out.

“Yah that's right,this is my first time here…so is it possible to meet him please,” I tucked my hair behind my ears as a way of flirting with him.

“Okay shawty follow me,” he told one guy to take over and I followed behind him.

We walked through the crowd and made our way upstairs…we reached some door and he knocked five times and it was like they had their secret knock.

“Yes who is it?” Herman asked from inside the room.

“Ceasar it's me,” the bar tender replied and this is when I remembered that Ceasar was Herman's stage name.

“What do you want? I'm not feeling well and I want to be alone for a while,” Herman asked

“It's not me,there's someone who asked to meet you…it's a lady,” the guy replied and the next thing we heard was the sound of the keys in the door and he opened it…when his eyes landed on me,he frowned because I guess I was the last person he expected to look for him in such a place.

“Ava!! What are you doing he??” He asked while looking around as if he didn't want anyone to see us together.

“Ohh it seems like you already know each other!! I guess I should go back to my station,” the bartender said.

“Thanks a lot for your help,” I thanked him before he left us

“What brings you here Ava? You shouldn't be here,” Herman pulled me inside the room and locked the door.

“Yah I know I shouldn't be here but if I came,it means there was a burning issue which couldn't wait,”I replied

“Okay what's that burning issue that couldn't be solved over the phone??” He asked.

“Please Herman don't act so innocent here when you know exactly what rubbish you have done today,” I scoffed.

“What do you mean??” He asked.

“Please Herman cut the cut,” I was now getting angry.

“Ava if only you tell me exactly why you're here,trust me I have no idea,” he replied.

“Okay let's say you have no idea about the animal fresh heart that you sent to my office to threaten me,” I tried to act dumb like him.

“Sorry the what?? I sent it where?? Wait wait..where are you getting all this from??” He dumbly asked

“Okay let's talk about the breaking in into my office at lunch time and you leaving a threatening letter on my desk,” I raised my voice.

“The fuck!!!? Ava what the hell are you talking about??” He asked

“Herman please stay away from me and stop threatening Liam because he didn't do anything wrong…man up and stop these stupid games,” I warned him

“Jeez!!! You coming here and start accusing me ain't cool at all…at least tell me what I did because I'm not getting this whole thing,” he replied

“So you're seriously denying yourself that you didn't send any stupid thing to my office?” I furiously asked.

“No Ava I didn't…okay I may be the first suspect here because of the differences we have at the moment but I love you Ava and i can never threaten you in any way…what was the message behind these threats you received??” He asked

“That I should stay away from Liam…who else has been on my case lately?? Of course you Herman, so there is no way you can convince me that you're innocent,” I punched him on the chest out of anger.

“Ava please believe me that I'm not the one behind it…if I was the one,I think I would be threatening Liam to stay the fuck away from you not the other way round…think,maybe your new catch has a girlfriend he didn't tell you about and now she's coming after you,” he replied while holding my hands to stop me from fighting.

I was now puzzled but after processing his statement,I think he has a point…if it was him behind it,he would be after Liam because he has never liked him since day one but unfortunately the sender was coming at me…he might be right,I guess there's someone else out there who's trying to mess with us.

“Ava are you okay??” he lightly touched on my cheeks and I came back to my senses.

My phone rang and it was Liam,

“Let me guess,he is waiting for you outside??” Herman asked while stepping back from me.

“It's none of your business,I got to go,” I turned to leave but he pulled my hand and I fell on his chest…our eyes met and both our heartbeats were raised.

He slowly brought his lips and crushed them on mine and I somehow kissed him back…I felt his hand squeezing my butt and i lost my mind…I lost grip on my bag then it dropped to the floor and that's when I got back my senses…I quickly picked up my bag and ran away from there,he tried calling me but all in vain
