“Let's go back to the office,” I told Liam after settling back in the car.“At least tell how it went inside there…you don't look fine at all,please tell me what happened?” He asked.

“Liam it was a bad idea to come over here so please let's leave this place right away,” I replied.

“Oh okay,” he started the car and throughout the journey he glanced at me, maybe to see if I'm fine but my eyes were focused on the road and my thoughts all over the place.

When we reached the office,I quickly ran out of the car and moved to the office, then opened my laptop and started working right away.

“Ava can you please tell me what happened in there,you were yourself before entering that club but this Ava that I drove back here is totally different…so I'm begging you please tell me how it went,” he said after entering the office but I stayed focused on the laptop

“Ava please talk to me,what really happened that put you in such a bad mood?” he asked again

“Liam it's nothing,please let's just get back to work,” I replied without sparing him a glance.

“Ava really!??” he asked one more time

“Yes Liam,forget about everything because like I guessed in the first place,he denied all the accusations so there's no point in all this,” I replied.

“oh okay then I rest my case,” he walked to his desk and started working as well.

“Liam, do you have a minute?” I asked after two hours straight of working and ignoring him.

“Oh so you want to talk now!?” He replied in a mean way and I totally understand it.

“Liam okay I'm sorry for ignoring you but there's something that Herman said that caught my attention,” I replied

“What is it?” He asked

“Well do you have any enemies or an ex to be precise?” I asked

“No, why??” He frowned

“Liam look,the thing is those weird packages we received earlier were all threatening me to stay away from you and if it was Herman behind it,he would be targeting you which wasn't the case so that's why I'm asking you if you have anyone in your past life that could be wanting to come back to your life right now?” I asked him

“Uhm to think about it,you might be right because it was crystal clear that this person wanted you to stay away from me…and if my memory serves me right,we locked the door before we stepped out to eat right l?” He asked.

“Yes that's right but this person broke in and put that stupid note on my desk,” I replied.

“I think I might have an idea about who broke into our office because she is the only one who had access to my office before we started sharing it with you,” he replied

“Oh that's good news,so who is this person that came to mind?” I asked

“It's none other than Linda,” he replied

“Wait,you mean Linda, your longtime girlfriend??” I asked.

“Yah that one,she's now my ex because we parted ways a few months back,” he replied.

“Ohh I'm sorry I didn't know about that…are you sure she is the one behind all these creepy deliveries??” I asked

“Yes Ava that's what I think though I'm not certain but she is the only one who has a key to this office except us,” he replied

“Okay but since we are not so sure,how about we change the locks today before we leave?” I suggested

“Yah sounds great…let me make a call and we get done with it right away,” he picked his phone and dialed someone's number who could come immediately and change the locks.

We waited for him and in the next thirty minutes,he walked in and started working on the door.

“It's done sir,here are your new key copies,” he gave them to Liam.

“Oh thank you so much,” he thanked him plus paying him before he left.

“I think we should also leave because it's getting late already,” I uttered

We got our stuff and stepped out of the office before we locked it.

We first made a stop at some restaurant to buy our dinner. Today was a crazy one so we had no energy to hit the kitchen.

“Do you need anything else?” He asked

“No that's all,let's go,” I replied

We drove back home and I was the first to use the bathroom before we had our dinner…when Liam alps got done,he joined me on the table and we touched our food.

“Liam, I think relocating was also a good idea,” I said.

“Yah because she knew the previous location but if she is a stalker,she can easily find us here as well,” he replied

“Yah that's right…but how about you try talking to her and confirm if she is really behind all this,” I suggested.

“Do you think it will work??” He asked

“Yah maybe…I also tried with Herman and I managed to get a clue from there so you can also do the same just to clear our doubts,” I replied

“Okay let me try calling her and see,” he picked up his phone.

He dialed her number but she didn't pick up and he tried the second time…this is when she picked.

“Hello Linda, can I meet you tomorrow at 1pm?” He asked

“Okay perfect,” he replied before hanging up.

“So???” I asked

“She agreed to meet me though she said at 1:30pm since she is out of town so she will use those thirty minutes to drive here,” he replied

“Ohh okay,hope she shows up,” I replied

“Trust me she will because she has been wanting to meet me lately but I was avoiding her big time so this is like a dream come true,” he replied.

“Oh okay then…I think I'm done here,have a goodnight Liam,” I wished him before disposing off the food trash.

“Goodnight too Ava,” he wished me back.

I walked to my room and checked my phone…I found two missed calls from Herman and I was still lost in thoughts as to why he had called me when he called me again…it was ringing in my hands and I wondered what to do next.

“Hello Ava,I'm sorry to bother you but I just wanted to apologize for today,” he said from the other side of the call

“I'm sorry for kissing you but I was just caught up in the moment,” he said.
