~Liam~“So why are you telling me now?” I asked but it came out like a yell but she didn't react or anything.

“I'm sorry for yelling at you but I need answers right now,” I loosened my neck tie.

“I tried looking for you but when I learned that you were together with Ava and living happily,I decided to keep it to myself even though it was so heavy to keep such a secret from you and hiding you from my girl,” she replied

“So that girl I met at your place is our daughter?” I asked again just to be sure.

“Yes that's right,” she replied.

“Then what did you tell her about me? Because when we met at the house,she didn't seem to know me,” I leaned back in my seat.

“I told her that you were serving in the army and that's why you never came back home,”she replied.

“Army!!!? Alina are you for real?!” I banged the table.

“Hey calm down,what else would I have told her! At least I didn't tell her that you were dead,” she shrugged.

“I can't believe this! You're so unbelievable…didn't she ask for my pics or something?” I asked her

“Well she did,” she sipped on her latte.

“And??” I frowned.

“I showed her pics of me and my ex husband,” she replied.

“What!!!? Why not my pics??” I was now angry.

“Hey don't blame me,I was angry at you that you ghosted me with no reason and blocked me everywhere then you decided to move on with your life like nothing happened,” she replied casually.

“If only you reached out and told me about the pregnancy maybe things wouldn't play off like this,” I removed the cover and the straw from my latte then drank directly from the cup because I was feeling hot.

“I don't think it would still make any difference because this is not my first pregnancy we had together,” her eyes became watery but fought so much and pushed the tears back.

“Come on Alina,I regret everything that happened during the pregnancy and I still apologise for that but I was just young and stupid,” I replied.

“Liam,being young and stupid is not enough excuse for domestic violence…you got yourself drunk then came back home and beat me blue black to the point of getting a miscarriage! Do you still blame me for hiding this pregnancy from you?” She asked while rubbing tears from her cheeks.

“Alina,I'm so sorry for everything especially that moment and I will apologise over and over again whenever I get a chance to because I take full blame for losing our first child,” I stretched my hands across the table and touched hers to calm her down.

“I'm really sorry for ghosting you after everything you did for me and I know I owe you big time because you did much for building this version of me who is hardworking…but please don't hide my kid away from me,I would like to be present in her life,that's all I'm asking for,” I replied.

“How do you plan to do that? You already have a family with Ava,do you think you can balance your time as a dad on both sides?” she asked.

“Yes I can,If you give me a chance and access,I would like to introduce both of you to Ava and Halsey my daughter,”I replied

“Haha are you kidding me right now!!? What makes you think that I will agree to that? I would rather keep you out of her life than agreeing to this crazy idea,” she turned and called the waiter to come and clear the table.

“Alina, take it as the last chance you are giving to me and if I happen to blow it up,don't dare to give me another one,please I'm begging you,” I gripped her hands while begging her.

After giving it a big thought, she finally agreed to it,” fine ,but we shall do it my way,” she replied.

“Thank you so much Alina…so tell me how you plan to do it?” I asked.

“I will come with Kara to your convenient meeting place,” she replied

“Oh I didn't see that coming!” I leaned back in shock.

“I thought you were going to invite my family to your castle!” I replied.

“Liam,first impression is very important so I wouldn't want them to think that I'm very rich before they get to meet me because by the time they get to ring the door bell, they would have fallen for the fact that I'm very rich and yet I want us to first meet as normal people without expecting anything,” she replied.

“Ohh okay I understand,I will text you the meeting place,time and day,” I removed my coat and folded my sleeves.

“But one more thing,by the time you bring them to meet us,it's better if you have first talked to them about us so that the environment doesn't get weird,” she suggested.

“Yes that's right,infact I'm going to talk to Ava about you during our lunch break…she needs to know everything before that meeting happens,” I assured her.

“Okay then,so that's it from me…I will be waiting for your text or call,” she concluded.

“Okay Alina,thanks for being considerate,” I appreciated her.

We stood up and moved back to her Porsche car then she dropped me off at my office.

“So I think by now you're aware that I'm not your enemy?” she asked.

“You never were,Alina,” I replied.

“But you treated me like one…you know actions speak louder than words,” she added.

“Again I'm truly sorry for whatever wrong I did to you,” I apologized again.

“Liam,after accepting your fault, the next question should be…how do I make it up for you?” she glanced at me.

“Oh you're right! So,Alina, how do I make it up to you?” I asked her.

“Simple,maybe a kiss will do,” she pulled over in one go and stared at me.

She flipped her curly hair to one side and moved closer to me but I was frozen and didn't move an inch.

“Liam,go and work…I need to get going,” she stretched her hand and passed it near my chest then unlocked the door on my side.

When I looked outside,that's when I realised that she had brought me back to my office.

“Thanks for the drop off,” I didn't bother making eye contact with her but rather stepped out of the car with my coat in my hands and moved inside the building then straight to my office without looking behind.
