“Hey Ava, how are you feeling?” Doc asked“Well I'm getting better doc,thanks to you…but can I please go back to my house?” I asked

“Of course Ava but there's one more thing I would like to talk about with both of you,” doc said.

“Yah sure,what is it?” I asked

“Uhm congratulations to both of you…” he looked at me then over to Liam.

“Doc I don't get it,congratulations for what??” Liam asked

“Well she is pregnant…we waited till she is feeling better so that we can break down the good news for you guys,” doc said while grinning.

“Ohh is that so!??” Liam asked while stammering

“Yes I'm serious about this,but how come none of you is happy about the news!?” the doc looked at us.

“Uhm well we are just shocked,” I replied

“Okay I see…Mr.Liam congratulations once again and please take good care of your wife,” then he walked out.

“Okay what just happened?” I asked

“First of all,he thinks we are married and secondly I'm pregnant!!!? Wow!” I sat upright

“Ava,this is serious…do you think it will be good to inform your ex husband about your condition right now?” Liam asked

“Of course not! He doesn't have a right to know it,” I replied

“Come on Ava,he has a right to because he is the father and he needs to take full responsibility over his unborn child and you yourself,” Liam replied.

“Liam, my decision is final and it's not open for any discussion,” I folded my hands over my chest and looked away from him.

“It's okay Ava I get it…lemme go and talk to the doctor so that he can discharge us because I'm sick of this place already,” he opened the door and left.

I moved my hand to the tummy to feel my angel who is inside and my eyes became watery…if one could ask me why I'm crying right now,well I could say that there are basically two reasons…one,I'm happy and blessed that God chose me to be the mom of this unborn baby and secondly,it's because I won't be having the father to my kid with me during this journey and I can't bring him back to my life just because of this reason…I don't know how but I'm going to figure shit out and raise this kid single handedly.

“Ava I got the discharge form and all the medicines you will be needing so I think we can go back home,” he helped me sit in the wheelchair and we made our way outside the hospital.

We went back home but my mind was somewhere else and I think I wasn't paying attention to any of the things Liam was telling me earlier.

“Ava are you okay?” He lightly touched my shoulder to get my attention.

“Uhm sorry what did you just say?? Sorry I wasn't paying attention,” I replied.

“Of course you weren't…I think you should take some rest…let me help you with that,” he made my one hand rest over his shoulder then he wrapped his one hand around my waist and he helped me to move to my room.

He made me lay in bed and covered me very well before leaving,

“Hey Liam..,” I called him.

“Yes Ava,do you need anything?” He asked with much concern.

“No, I just wanted to say thank you for everything…I don't take any of that for granted,”I told him.

“It's okay Ava,I got you,” he gave me a warm smile.

I smiled back before he walked out of my room…I wanted to sleep but the fact that I'm soon having a baby,too much was going on in my mind.

I think sleep is something you can't ignore because amidst all these thoughts at night, I managed to sleep and in the morning I was woken up by Liam's hand over my forehead.

“Oh shit I'm sorry I woke you up but I was just checking your temperature to see if you're fine,” he explained.

“Oh it's fine I get it,how come you're not yet dressed yet it's already getting late I assume,” I asked.

“I'm waiting for someone,” he replied

“Who?”

“Well I called back at the hospital to get some caretaker precisely a nurse to take care of you in my absence,” he replied.

“Oh Liam you shouldn't have,” I sat upright so we can have this talk

“Ava you need someone around to help you with chores and everything and more so to help you get better quickly so trust me you need her,” he added.

“Okay but I can do light chores because I will be here alone so I don't see any need of a helper in the house,” I stared at him

“Ava stop being stubborn, okay let her come so that she can help you with showering because you can't help yourself in the bathroom,” he said.

“No, I 'd rather have you help me in the bathroom than hire a stranger to do it,” I don't know how that came out from my mouth because it brought silence in the room.

We looked at each other for a few seconds and I wanted to take it back but it was too late.

“Okay what I mean is that you can help me and I will be free with you other than bringing a stranger in my space,” I tried to explain.

“Ava are you sure??” He asked.

“Yes I am…in fact start now I need a shower before you leave,please,” I begged him since he was getting hesitant.

“Uhm okay then,” he agreed.

He helped me step down from bed and I was going to wrap my hand over his shoulder like we did earlier but he surprised me by lifting me off the ground and I looked deep in his eyes with my hands around his neck.

He took me inside the bathroom and made me stand so that he could remove my clothes before sitting in the bathtub…he removed my nightie and when it dropped on the floor,I saw him getting uncomfortable because I didn't have anything beneath.

“Haha are you okay?? “ I teased him because I definitely knew he wasn't okay at all haha.

“Uhm uhm yeah…yes…I mean yeah I'm fine,” he gave me his hand and I held onto it before stepping in the bathtub.

“You are going to help me scrub my body right?” I was now teasing because it was fun seeing him in such a condition and If I wasn't mistaken,his forehead was now covered in sweat hahah.
