Ava's p.o.v “First of all congratulations upon this milestone,I know you have been working tirelessly with your fiance for this so you two truly deserve it,” she extended her hand and I shook it.

“Thank you so much,” I replied.

“Well for starters,my name is Alina,” she leaned back in her seat.

“Okay,nice to meet you Alina,” I replied.

But I thought introducing herself to me wasn't the only reason why she called me here so I went ahead to say, “ Why did you ask to meet me Miss Alina?” I asked.

“No,please just call me Alina,” she replied.

“How long have you been with your fiance Liam?” she stared at me and I was taken aback.

“Uhm roughly seven years,” I replied

“Impressive! How much do you know about him?” she paused another question.

“What do you mean by that?” I asked

“I don't mean to interfere with your personal life but I have reasons why I called you here and why I'm asking you these questions,” she replied.

“So Ava kindly tell me how much you know Liam,” she looked over at me.

“Why would some random person be yearning to know me on a personal level?” I asked her.

“Ava please answer that one question,do you know or have you met any of his parents before?” she asked.

I stood up from my seat because I wasn't going to just sit down there and get interrogated by some stranger like I owe her some explanations.

“Listen Allen or whatever you said your name was, I'm not answering any of those questions because I don't know you and I can't stay any longer here talking to you because my family is waiting for me outside in the car,” I started walking towards the door.

“My name is Alina not Allen…” she turned and said.

“Whatever…,” I turned the door knob and walked out.

I reached the car and after sitting in the driver's seat,I looked back and these guys had already dozed off.

I started the engine but Liam suddenly woke up and asked,”When did you get back?”

“Just now,I'm sorry I kept you guys waiting,” I replied.

“It's okay baby,good you're back now…take us back home,” he said and I drove out from the parking lot.

We reached home and after putting Halsey in bed,I went to our bedroom to freshen up.

“Baby girl,what took you so long to get back? At some point I started getting worried,” Liam asked while stepping out of the bedroom.

“Oh well,I met this weird lady and I regret why I agreed to meet her in the first place,” I removed my jewellery and placed it in the drawers.

“What do you mean by weird?” he asked while drying his hair with a towel.

“Babe I met this lady who started asking me weird personal questions…her name was Alena Alina,something close to that,” I removed my dress and put on my bathrobe.

“What kind of questions was she asking to be specific?” he sat down on the bed and asked.

“Like,how long have we been together? How much do I know about you? Such weird questions from a stranger!” I replied.

“Yaah you're right,very weird…so what did you reply?” he asked.

“Babe,I walked away from her because it was so irritating hearing such questions from someone I just met,” I walked inside the bathroom to take a shower.

I was drying my hair when she said out Alina’s name and my heart sank for a moment and my knees became numb…I pulled myself together and took a seat on the bed before I fell down on the ground.

Alina’s name is like a nightmare in my life and I'm glad they didn't talk much with Ava because she would have ruined everything between us right now.

I didn't see her in the crowd during the party but if managed to show up then who the hell told her about that function?! I won't allow her to just show up from wherever she was and ruin my peaceful life I have built for seven years now.

As Ava was in the bathroom,I picked my phone and moved to the balcony to make a call.

I had blocked her but I was forced to unblock her because I needed to talk to her right away before she messed everything up.

“Hmm I wonder why you have called me in the middle of the night,” she picked up but after hearing her voice again,my whole body was covered in goosebumps.

“Alina what the hell do you want?” I wanted to scream at her but at the same time I didn't want to draw attention from Ava.

“Haha isn't it funny that you blocked me for eight nine years and that's the first question you had to ask me,Liam really?!!” she asked.

“Alina please cut the crap,what do you want from me? Why did you meet up with Ava?” I asked.

“Papi you know what I want so stop playing,” she replied.

“Call me Liam, not that stupid name and please stay the fuck away from my family,” I warned her.

“Papi, you know very well that I can do anything I want and nobody, I mean nobody…not even you yourself can dare to stand in my way and stop me,” she replied.

“Alina, fine,can we meet tomorrow at lunch hour and talk things out?” I begged her.

“Is it because of Ava that you are begging to meet me up?” she asked

“Yes,I don't want you to get near her again so please let's settle our differences tomorrow once and for all,” I replied.

“This is something you had to do in the past nine years but you decided to block me,” she said.

“Alina please, I don't have much time to be on the phone,so are we meeting tomorrow or not?” I asked.

“Fine,we are meeting at my place though because tomorrow is my day off so find me at home at your convenient time,” she replied.

“Okay fine,” I replied before hanging up and walking back inside the house.

I went inside the bedroom and found Ava in bed scrolling on her phone,

“Babe where did you go?” she asked.

“I was on the balcony having some fresh air my love, do you need anything to eat before we sleep?” I tried to divert her mind

“Yes babe,please can you get me some chocolate from the fridge?” she asked.

“Yeah sure my love,” I walked back to the living room and picked her chocolate from the fridge.
