Ava's p.o.v When my lunch break reached,I ordered my lunch but I wasn't that hungry and after chatting with Liam on the phone,I decided to surprise him at the office because he was hell busy.

But to my surprise,he wasn't there and his secretary told me that he had gone out for a meeting but it didn't sit right for me but I acted cool and I didn't bother texting or calling him to where he was.

I sat there with his secretary for almost an hour but he was nowhere to be seen so I decided to go back to my office and the lunch I had brought for him was already cold so I dumped it in the trash can before waiting for the cab.

Later in the evening I got a message from him that he was coming to pick me up so I closed my laptop and put everything in order before stepping out of the office.

It was a lazy day here since there was not much work on my desk maybe being my first day here.

I waited for something like five minutes then I saw his car coming my way,I guess he was already on the way when he texted me because that was fast.

He opened the door for me from inside then I sat in and he kissed me on the cheek before driving off.

“I'm sorry you bounced at the office during the day,” he said without looking at me.

“Yes I wanted to surprise my fiance with lunch but too bad that he is not good with communication,” I replied while focusing on the road outside.

“I'm so sorry babe,it won't happen again I promise,” he touched my thigh then I turned to look at him and we made eye contact before he looked away.

“But when we were chatting earlier, you told me you were at the office so why didn't you communicate when you were leaving?” I asked.

“Babe,I didn't know about your surprise…otherwise, I would have told you that I was leaving,” he replied and it made sense.

“So how can I make it up to you?” He asked while glancing at me.

“Uhm I need a night date on the beach tonight,” I replied.

“Come on babe haha right now!?” He asked.

“Yes babe right now…there's a beach just down the road,I want us to just go and sit there,have our dinner there then go back home,” I shrugged.

“Oh okay,what princess asks,princess gets,” he smiled at me then turned the car and moved to the direction of the beach.

“What about my baby? Have you heard from her?” He asked.

“Yes I did,she's with mom…I told her I will text her when we are back and she brings her home,” I replied.

“Oh okay cool,” he entreated.

We reached the beach and we moved to the restaurant to make our orders but I came up with a suggestion,” babe,can we please eat from the sand?” I pouted.

“What do you mean from the sand?!” He was dumbfounded.

“Babe,I want us to sit down on the sand near the shore,” I replied .

“Babe,that's a crazy idea haha…it's already late and if we sit on the sand,you might get a cold because it's very freezing right now,” he replied.

“I carried some shawls,see,” I pulled them from my bag.

“Babe, how come you are so prepared for this?” He asked

“I always keep them in this bag so we just got lucky,” I smiled.

I told the waitress to set a table for us on the sand and they agreed.

After everything was set up,we went ahead to sit with our shawls on so that we wouldn't get cold.

Later on,they served us our dinner…we had decided to do seafood so our plates were filled with sushi.

“So am I forgiven?” He asked while picking up his chopsticks.

“Now you're officially forgiven,” I somehow moved up from my seat and kissed him on the lips because we were sitting opposite to each other.

“When was the last time you went out on a date?” I asked him.

“Hmm it's been a while actually…thanks to me for messing you up,now I got a chance again to know how it feels,” he picked up a piece of sushi with chopsticks and travelled it into his mouth.

We had our dinner in peace and only the sound of the waves interrupted us but it was so soothing.

“Babe,please go and wait from the car as I clear the bill,” he kissed me on the lips then I moved and sat inside the car as he moved to the restaurant counter.

It didn't take him long to find me in the car then we moved back home but on the way,I texted mom that we are coming over to pick Halsey…it was already late and we didn't want her to stress herself with driving this late.

We reached her house and she informed us that the girl was already asleep and it was understandable because we took forever to get her.

“But I was of the view that what if you hire a maid to take care of the girl since you two are always busy at work?” she asked.

Me and Liam looked at each other in shock because no idea of such a kind has ever crossed our minds.

“Hear me out,I'm not saying this because I am tired of taking care of her already, nope…but I am saying this because the girl needs to stay in one place and it's better to come back home when there's someone to welcome her and when you two come back home at anytime, you will find her in her bed so everybody wins,” she shrugged.

“Babe, I think your mom is right,uhm,do you have any maid recommendations?” He asked her.

“Yes I do,my friend has some professional maids that are up for hiring so you won't be worried about a thing because they're good with kids and chores,” mom replied.

“Mom, can you please get one as fast as tomorrow?” I asked.

“Yeah sure,let me make some calls right away,” she replied.

She picked up her phone then excused herself to make a call…she came back with Halsey in her hands and after placing her in mine she said,” They're going to send one girl to your house tomorrow early morning before you leave for work so that you can give her all the instructions needed,”

“Okay thanks mom,we appreciate,” I kissed her on the cheek then we left her house and drove back home.
