~Linda~

~Linda~Linda reached her car and left the parking lot at high speed, she drove back to her place.

“Hey what happened? You look tense,” Rose asked her the moment she stepped inside the house.

“From Liam's company,” Linda replied while throwing her car keys and bag on the couch in anger.

“Hey you need to calm down, tell me what happened?” Rose moved closer to her and tried to touch her shoulder to calm her down.

“Those fools shifted and now I don't know what I'm going to tell Herman because he counted on me,” Linda passed her hand through her hair out of frustration.

“But for all this while,I thought you guys had already given up all these evil plans against Liam and Ava because for the time I spent with them, they were really sweet people,” Rose replied.

“Will you shut the fuck up! I don't care if they're sweet people as you claim but we are pushing through with whatever plans we had against them,so get that in your head,” she screamed at Rose.

“But sis, remember how it played off last time? What if you get caught or something terrible happens to you amidst all this?” Rose was very much concerned about her sister.

“I don't care about all that,” Linda replied arrogantly.

“Okay,I understand you and Herman might have some valid reasons why you want to hurt those people but imagine if those guys weren't lenient with me last time, they would have done anything to me even if it meant killing me or calling the cops on me but they did neither of them which means they are good humans,” Rose tried to talk some sense into her sister but all in vain.

“And maybe this is a sign for you to back out since you reached there and found out that they had shifted, please sis listen to me,” Rose begged her sis.

“Shut the fuck up, I'm calling Herman since you failed to help me out,” she put the call on speaker while it was ringing.

“Yes Linda, tell me some good news, how far?” He asked the moment he picked up the call.

“Uhm Herman it's not that good as you were expecting,” Linda hesitantly replied.

“What do you mean not good? Come on Linda if you're still mad from yesterday please I'm so sorry from the bottom of my heart but please tell me did you find any information from the company about their new home address?” He asked over the phone.

“Herman,Liam shifted his company,I reached there when there's a new owner,” Linda replied in a low tone.

“Whatt!? How is that possible?” He furiously asked.

“I have no idea that's why I called because I'm now puzzled,” she replied.

“Linda don't tell me you're just sitting there doing nothing about it?” He roared.

“What do you expect me to do at this point huh?” She asked back in the same tone.

“Linda stop sounding stupid right now,get your phone and start googling their new location already unless you're telling me that they changed their company name as well?” He asked.

“Okay let me do just that, will get back to you,”she replied.

“Good girl, how's your chin,is it still painful?” He asked.

“Not so much,I put some ointment now the pain is relieved,” she replied.

“Good to know, for the hundredth time,I'm sorry that I hurt you,I should have controlled my emotions back then,” he apologized.

“It's already done so it's okay,” she replied.

“Okay then, tell me when you get that location,” he requested.

“Yeah sure,” she replied before hanging up.

“Sis talk to me,that fool hurt you and didn't tell me?” Rose asked her because she was hearing everything over the phone.

“It's nothing, stop overreacting,” she replied while scrolling through her phone.

“You call that nothing?! If he was able to bruise your chin, who knows what more he could do when he gets out of control next time? Please be careful with that sick man,” Rose warned her.

“Stop over thinking things you stupid girl…oh wait,I have finally gotten their new location, see,” she showed Rose her phone in excitement.

“So what next?” Rose asked her.

“I'm going to pay them a visit with flowers of course, what else do you think?” She sarcastically asked.

“Whatever but I'm not going to be part of this crazy thing anymore,” Rose replied.

“I haven't asked you to,” she replied with a smile and picked up her car keys and bag.

“Where are you going now?” Rose asked while standing up from her seat.

“I thought you didn't care haha now why are you asking?” She stepped out of the house and banged the door behind her.

She sat in her car and after buckling up,she set off on her 3 hours journey because Liam's company new location seemed very far but she didn't mind about the distance at all.

She reached her destination and by the look of things, she was at the right place because of the sign on the building.

After parking her car,she put back her colored wig and shades as usual and moved inside the building to the receptionist.

“Good evening,is madam Ava in?” She asked.

“Oh no ma'am,you just missed her,” the receptionist replied.

“Oh my God! Is she coming back?” Linda asked.

“No ma'am,I don't think so,she wasn't feeling well so boss took her back home,” the receptionist replied.

“Oh my! That's so sad to hear,I drove for three hours straight hoping to meet her today,” she acted like she was so sad.

“Maybe you could give her a call and meet up somewhere because they had just left in like ten minutes back,” the receptionist replied.

“That's a good idea but I had come to surprise her,I'm her cousin and she wasn't expecting me today so if I call her,I will be ruining my surprise,” Linda replied.

“Oh I understand, then it will be a good thing to surprise her from home, how about that?” receptionist asked out of concern.

“Exactly my point but I don't know her home address that's why I chose to come here at the work place,” Linda replied.

“Ohh ohh I understand ma'am,just give me a second, let me get my pen,” The receptionist reached her drawer and got out a piece of paper and pen.

“Here you go ma'am,” she gave Linda the paper with Ava's home address.

“I don't know how to thank you but thank you so much this means a lot to me,” Linda squeezed her in a hug.

“Ma'am I'm just helping you out since you're family but other than that,we are not supposed to share personal information to strangers,” she replied.

“Yes I understand work ethics sweetie and you're absolutely right, okay then,I will be on my way now,” Linda turned with a smirk on her face and left her desk.
