Ava's p.o.v “Good morning kitty,” Herman said with a smirk with his hands inside the pockets while leaning on his car.

“Herman, I already told you to stop calling me that stupid name,” I pointed at him.

“But you can't dictate what I can call you,so I can call whichever name I like,” he removed his shades and stared at me.

“Cut the crap already,” I scoffed.

“But is this the time you two report at work? Mr.Liam,is this how you operate around here?” He questioned while moving his gaze from me to Liam.

“Herman,it's not yet 9am which is the opening time so what are you saying," Liam asked him back.

“Of course I know it's not yet 9am but as the head of the company,you must arrive on time before anyone else,” Herman replied.

“Herman,this is my company and I hope you're not here to teach me how to run my own company right?” Liam moved closer to him.

“Well I'm not in position to assist you with that but I can't sit back and see you going astray,” Herman took a few steps forward and now their chests were touching.

“Babe,please step back, workers have started walking in,I wouldn't want anyone to see you in such a condition,” I held in between his elbow and pulled him back.

“I'm sorry babe but that man really gets on my nerves,” Liam said as we stepped away from Herman.

“It's okay I get it but you need to learn to control your emotions around him because seeing you like this is his mission,” I gently touched his back.

“Hey Ava, we don't have all day here…let's get going,” we heard Herman's voice from behind us.

“Baby girl I think you should get going because I'm tired of seeing his face already,” Liam gave me a hug before walking inside the building.

“Let's go,” I angrily told this annoying creature in front of me.

“Hey,not so fast,” he stopped me by pulling my hand.

“Herman what is it now? Haven't you done enough already?” I asked.

“Come on baby girl,I'm only asking for a hug before we set off and that's all,” he opened his arms for a hug.

“ In your dreams sucker,” I pushed him to the side and quickly opened the door of his car and sat down.

“Ava, that was so cold,what would you lose if you offered me a hug huh?! It's not like it's the first time we will be hugging?” He asked while buckling up.

“Or you feared that your stupid boyfriend might be somewhere watching us?” He asked while grinning.

“Herman just shut the fuck up and start the car already,” I glared at him.

“Okay okay I give in,” he raised his hands in the air as surrender.

“Good,now drive,” I ordered him

“But do you know that I can file a cheating case on you?” He asked as he started the engine.

“What do you mean by that?” I asked while staring at him.

“You know we haven't signed our divorce papers yet so that means you're still my wife,” he replied while focusing on the road.

“Ohh you mean that! Please go right ahead and file that case I won't stop you,” I gave him a go ahead.

“You mean,you're not scared at all?! He glanced at me.

“Herman,you can do whatever that pleases you,I actually don't give a fuck whatsoever,” I blurted.

“Anyways I was just kidding because I can never do anything to hurt you my kitty,”he aimed to touch my cheek but I pushed his hand away.

The rest of the drive was silent and I sometimes felt his gaze over me but I cared less so I kept my focus on the road.

“Oops kitty,I think we got a flat tire,” he held the wheel with his two hands and started panicking.

“Herman please stop playing with me right now because I'm not in the mood,” I sternly told him.

“Kitty I'm not playing around,for real there's a flat tire,” he replied.

“I know this is another of your games but please quit it because I need to get back to the office before lunch time,” I requested.

“Kitty I'm being serious here,can't you see the car slowing down?” He asked and it's now that I realised he wasn't fucking with me.

“Fuck! Now how are we going to handle that? Look where we are now,there's nothing like a place to get help from,dang it,” I slapped myself in the face.

“No worries I'm going to call my mechanic though it will take him some time to get here since we had driven a full hour away from town,” he said

“Okay then go ahead and call him,” I gestured to him to pick up his phone already.

“Holy crap,my phone has no signal,could you please help me with your phone?” He requested.

“Sure no problem…no,this can't be happening to us right now!” I cried out.

“What is it?” He asked.

“My battery already died,I think I forgot to put it on the charger last night,” I replied.

“Now how will I communicate with Liam? I'm sure he's going to be hell worried about me,” I said.

“Ava,we are in this kind of situation and the only thing you're worried about right now is your fake boyfriend!?” He frowned.

“You can't blame me,I am just worried,” I replied.

“Ahh kitty,you're not helping, fine let me step out and try searching for a signal on my phone,” he opened the door and left me inside.

I removed my seat belt and stepped out of the car to meet Herman,

“Any hope?” I asked.

“Still struggling,you should go back inside,I don't want you to catch a cold…the weather is becoming cloudy out here,” he directed me to go back in the car.

“Ava,I said go back in the car,” he said again.

“Okay okay,” I agreed and went back to the car.

I saw him pacing around looking for signals in all corners and he never stopped.

“Hey Herman come back inside,it's starting to drizzle,” I yelled at him and he came running to the car.

“I see you still care about me,that was a sweet gesture,” he murmured while sitting down.

“In your dreams,” I turned and looked outside.

“It started drizzling outside and of course I was feeling it,obviously I had to come back in the car but you decided to warn me about it! Tell me if that isn't care then what is it?” He gazed at me.

“Herman,will you please shut up,” I yelled at him.
