“Hello Liam,are you so busy?” I asked him on the phone. “Yes I am but anything can wait if it concerns you…so tell me what's wrong? You really sound tense.” He replied from the other end.

“Uhm, I think we are not safe here either,” I stammered.

“Baby girl what do you mean? I'm not getting you,”he asked.

“I think Linda was here in the morning,” I replied in one go.

“What!? When? Baby please talk to me,” he asked but I could feel that he was panicking over the phone.

“Uhm,Rose has just told me that she found a lady peeping through our mirror glass at the door and when she asked her if she could help her,she said she was my friend, “ I replied.

“ Did she describe to you her face and body size?” He asked.

“No,that she was wearing a hoodie and shades as a disguise,” I replied

‘Holy fuck! there are higher chances that it was her…but if that's the case,how did she find out our new address really quick?!” He said.

“ Well,that's a question for another day…for now we need to come up with a solution because I personally am not at peace at all,” I replied.

“ Baby girl I understand…let me see what I can do,please wait for my call in a few,” he suggested.

“Okay but please don't take long,” I cried out.

I hung up the phone and passed my hands through my hair in frustration and lifted up my eyes.I saw Rose staring at me with so many questions running in her head.

“Ma'am, what's going on?” She asked while taking a seat which was opposite me.

“I don't know where they start from but by the look of things,that woman you met at the doorstep is the reason why I am in this condition right now,” I touched my wheelchair to show her what I exactly meant by that statement.

“ What?!!! So what's the relationship between you and her? Or what was her motive behind all this?” She asked but fear was written all over her face.

“ Rose, it's really a complicated situation but I thank you for telling me about her because right now we can't allow her to hurt me twice,” I looked at her with a warm smile.

“Ma'am,so what's the plan? If she hurt you once then she is capable of hurting you again…I also don't wish that to happen to you again so I am here to help,” she stood up from her seat and walked towards me then gave me a warm hug.

“Rose, thank you for being here because I don't know what I would be doing at the moment being that Liam is at work right now,” I rested my head on her shoulder and she rubbed my back as an assurance that she is here with me.

I heard my phone ringing and we broke the hug so that I could pick it up…looking at the caller I'd, it was Liam and I quickly picked it up.

“Yes Liam,tell me,” I said.

“Is Rose there with you?” He asked.

“Yes please, why?” I asked back.

“Please tell her to help you pack a few of your essentials, my driver is on his way to pick you guys up,” he said.

“Oh okay,got it,” I passed on the information to Rose and we moved to the bathroom to get started with packing.

Once we were done,we moved back to the living room and waited for the driver and in less than an hour,he was already her.

We heard him hooting and we headed outside to the car,when he saw us,he stepped out of the car and gave Rose a hand to help me sit inside the car.

“Ma'am,boss told me to take you to the office to meet him,” he said while buckling up.

“Oh okay then,thanks for coming in time,”I replied and he nodded while looking through the rear view mirror.

We reached the office and Liam was outside waiting for us,when he saw the car,he came running to meet me and the first thing he did when he opened the door was to give me a passionate kiss on my lips.

“I'm glad you guys are okay,” he cupped my face in his hands and I could see sincerity in his eyes.

“George,thanks for dropping them,” he thanked the driver.

“It's part of my job boss,no need to thank me,”George replied.

Liam tapped on his shoulder as a sign of respect then he carried me outside the car to meet Rose who was already waiting for us with the chair.

“It's okay Rose,when I'm around,I can take care of her,” he pushed me inside the building and Rose followed us behind.

We went in his office and I was like,

“I really miss this space,especially working with you next to me,” I looked over my empty desk in the corner.

“I miss you more baby girl…but very soon you will join me again,” he gave me a forehead kiss.

“Rose take a seat please,you guys stay here let me go and pick up our lunch,” he moved outside the office and I was left with Rose.

“Rose, I think after having lunch,you can head back home…Liam can take it from there,” I suggested.

“Ma'am,please let me stay because I feel guilty for having let that woman leave when she was right in front of me,” she insisted.

“Okay but you can leave in the evening as usual if you insist and thank you for staying with me,” I replied.

Liam walked back in with food and served us then all three of us started eating.

“Baby girl,there's a cabin we are going to live in for a few days and Rose can I ask for a favor?” He looked over to Rose.

“Yeah sure sir,” she replied.

“Can you please sleep over for the next three days? I am going to double your pay…since we will be living in the cabin,it's a bit far from the town which means I might arrive late at home and I wouldn't want you to risk moving late in the night,” he suggested.

“Sir,it's very okay with me…though I need to pick a few things from home that I will be using if that's okay with you?” She asked.

“Rose,we can get anything you want from the store on our way to the cabin after work,” he replied.

“Oh okay then we are good to go but let me first make a call and inform people at home that I won't be coming back,” she excused herself and we were left alone with Liam.
