~Somewhere in a warehouse~“What took you so long? You know I don't like waiting and looking like a fool,” A man roared over the phone.

“I'm almost there, please calm down,” a woman replied in a calm voice.

“That's what you have been saying for the past thirty minutes,but if you don't get here in the next five minutes,you won't find me and you will have to look for me which will be highly impossible to get me in person,” the man raised his voice.

“Hey,I said I'm almost there…look down,that's my car parking so calm down already,” she replied and when the man peeped down in the warehouse parking lot,he saw her parking and it calmed him down.

“I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting but traffic was crazy,” she apologized again while getting closer to him.

“Do you think I came here in a jet or what? I also drove my car but in order to beat traffic,I had to wake up very early and get here in time,” he responded.

“Herman please! For the record,this is the first time you got here before me and you're acting like I always keep you waiting!” She defended herself.

“Linda,you made me stand here for thirty good minutes and tell me If I have ever made you wait for that long?” He put his hands in the pockets of his trousers and looked at her.

“Okay,I'm sorry for coming late but like I said,it was traffic not my making…so how have you been?” She asked.

“Really!? Linda,you have the audacity to ask me such a question right now?” he asked with anger evident in his eyes.

“Herman I know it's not appropriate but It was some sort of greeting just acting like civilised people that's all,I'm sorry if I offended you,” she replied while taking a few steps back.

“You and I agreed to take care of this issue once and for all but you failed me.The fact that it's you who reached out to me to join forces but still you failed to do this one job and it's been two months already but none of us has any news about their whereabouts and you also ghosted me for some reasons,” he kicked a rock that was on the floor.

“Herman you can call it ghosting but I explained everything to you but you chose not to understand me,yes I reached out to you because I knew you and I had the same enemies and we had to help each other out,” she replied.

“Please! Are we here to remind each other about the past or get solutions for our present problem?” he asked.

“In the past few months,I told you I had to step back for a while because our cover was blown and my sister was exposed,so we had to stay out of town for a while because they had promised to call the police on her,” she replied.

“And how's that my concern huh!? It's entirely your fault that you involved your stupid sister in all this and the best she could do was to ruin all our plans in just one night…if you ask me if I wanted her to end up behind bars? I would proudly say of course yes,and do you know why??” he held her in his hands and started squeezing her shoulders.

“Herman you're hurting me…” she cried.

“I asked you a question,do you know why I would love to see your stupid sister behind bars?” he asked again while screaming in her ears.

“Tell me why Herman,” she replied in a shaky voice.

“Because it will give you a good lesson not to involve other useless people in our plans,” he pushed her to the ground.

“Now get up because you need to clean up the mess you created and I have already given you a grace period of two months so now your task is to search for that bustard Liam and Ava,” he ordered her.

“Hey don't call Liam a bastard,you can do whatever you want with me but don't call him names,” she stood up while wiping off her tears.

“Linda tell me something? Are you still in love with that fool?” he asked.

“Isn't that a mutual reason why we both are cooperating? Because you still love Ava and I still love Liam?? If that's not the reason then tell me why we are fighting their love?” she screamed at him out of anger.

“Ohh! You have a point there,your brain started working all of a sudden,I'm impressed,” he laughed out loud while walking around.

“So what's the plan?” she asked.

“Uhm,first of all,we need to know their new residence,” he replied.

“And?” she asked.

“When you get it,then get back to me,I will tell you our next move but make sure you don't ruin this one…I swear to God Linda,if you dare mess with me once again,you will wake up in a room temperature room I promise you that,”he squeezed her chin in his hands and she started crying out for help.

“By room temperature room,you mean mortuary? She asked while crying.

“Yes that's right,so be smart this time round and don't play around,” he let her go

“Oh by the way,first thing tomorrow morning,find ways of getting into Liam's company and get some information from the nosey employees because one thing I'm sure of is that they can reside in a different city but he still works in that place,” he stated.

“Hey are you listening to me or what? I need a response from you when I suggest something…are you getting me?” He glared at her.

She just nodded her head in response while massaging her chin with her one hand because it got bruised when he squeezed it.

“Okay I'm sorry for hurting you but this usually happens when you piss me off,I'm not violent but when someone pushes me,I always end up hurting people around me but please forgive me,” he tried touching her but she moved some steps back and tried avoiding him.

“I need to go,hope that's all that we need to talk about…if you need anything we shall be in touch,” she ran away from there and rushed to her car.

“Linda wait up…,” he tried calling her back but she didn't give him a chance.

She sat in her car and drove off from that warehouse at full speed because at this point her heart was racing and full of terror.
