I informed the police and they said they were going to check on the road CCTV cameras if they can trace the owner of the car that is following us.Liam made a quick turn on the left off the main road after taking a corner and we moved inside some kind of a bush then he turned off the lights and stopped the car engine.

“What are we doing?” I whispered

“Wait and watch,” he replied while whispering as well.

We were just a few metres from the main road and after a few minutes,we saw the black BMW passing on the road at a high speed.

“See,now whoever is in that car thinks that we are way ahead of them, that's why they're speeding to catch up with us,” he replied with a smile while turning back on the lights.

“Okay, so why are you all smiling?” I asked while frowning.

“Come on baby girl! This means we are free from them so we can quickly drive and get to the cabin safe and sound,” he rubbed my cheek.

“Ohh I didn't realise it yet! I guess when I am panicking,my mind stops working for a while,” I leaned back in my seat and took a deep breath as a relief.

“Hey Rose,are you okay back there?” I turned and looked at the back where she was sitting.

“Yes Ma'am,I'm okay now,thanks for asking,” she replied.

I don't know when I dozed off but I was woken up by cold lips on my forehead and I slowly opened my eyes.

“How long have I been sleeping? Feels like forever,” I asked while rubbing my eyes.

“For almost an hour I am not mistaken," He replied.

“What! You mean to tell me that this place is very far from the city?” I asked.

“Not really,what made it seem very far is that I took the wrong route while trying to run away from those lunatics who were following us but it's usually half an hour's drive,” he tucked my hair behind my ear and pecked me on the cheek.

Liam carried me like a baby inside the cabin straight to our bedroom and laid me on the bed.

“Wait here,let me first go and show Rose her room plus offloading our bags from the car,” he kissed me before leaving the room.

This place was cozy and I pray to find peace in this place even though I know it's close to impossible because Linda is not stopping any time soon.

“Baby girl,I think I should help you with showering before I finish up some pending work on the laptop,” he carried me to the bathroom and after showering me,he brought me back to bed and started working on the laptop.

Since it was a long day,I managed to sleep off real quick but when I woke up in the middle of the night and tried moving my hand searching for Liam,he wasn't there with me and I quickly opened my eyes.

I looked for my phone and dialed his number since I can't move from the bed but there was no answer and it went to voicemail.

I dialed Rose's number and good enough,she picked it up,

“Hey Rose,I am sorry to wake you up from sleep but can you please come to my room right now,” I begged her.

“Okay ma'am on my way,” she replied in her sleepy voice.

My heart nearly came out of my chest because it was pounding too fast.

“Ma'am is everything okay?” Rose asked while taking a seat on my bed.

“I can find Liam,tried calling him but he doesn't answer his phone…can you please bring me my chair and we go try looking for him,” I requested and she stood up to go get it.

She helped me sit down in it and pushed me out of the room and headed to the living room but there was no sight of Liam and I got more worried.

“Let's move to the porch please,” I told Rose and she did as I suggested.

Reaching the porch,I couldn't believe my eyes at all because Liam was lying on the ground and I quickly turned to Rose so that she could move over to him and check whether he was fine but to my surprise,Rose wasn't there and I wondered where she had gone to?

“Roseee where are you?? I need you right now,” I called her at the top of my voice while crying.

I moved my hands to the wheels and tried pushing myself to where Liam was lying but next to him was a spilled cup of coffee.

I tried calling him but I didn't get any response and the fact that Rose disappeared on me out of the blue is really eating me up.

“Ma'am I'm really sorry,” I heard Rose's voice behind me and I turned to see why she was apologising…she was holding a syringe in her hands but by the look of things,she was up to something bad and my heart started racing.

I tried moving away from her but my hands were terribly shaking so I couldn't push my chair.

“Rose what are you doing?” I asked but she was determined and moving towards me.

“I'm really sorry Ma'am,” she said again

“Did you drug Liam?” I asked in a shaky voice.

“I had no choice Ma'am,” she replied while tears touched her cheeks.

‘“What do you mean you had no choice? What do you want from us?” I asked.

“It's not me,I'm just paying off a debt,” she replied and she moved closer to me and this is when I had to say my final prayer I guess.

“A debt!! Who owes you? And how come the debt gets cleared by hurting us huh?!” I was now getting pissed because I'm so tired of people wanting to hurt us.

“Ma'am please stop talking, not everytime that you need to know the truth so just shut up and let me do my job,” she was about to hit me with the syringe but Liam woke up and pushed her on a wooden wall and banged her head then she lost consciousness.

“Oh my God Liam!” I touched my mouth out of shock that he pushed her so hard but happy at the same time that he has saved my life.

“Are you okay baby girl?” He came and passed his hands through my hair and scanned my whole body to see if I am perfectly fine.
