~Linda and Herman~*phone ringing* “This fool better pick up my phone right away,” Linda said while pacing back and forth in the living room.

“Hey,can you please calm down,you have been pacing and restless for the past thirty minutes,” Rose complained.

“I wouldn't be in this situation if he picked up my phone call in the first place,” Linda replied while dialing Herman's contact again.

“Maybe he's busy at the moment and that's why he can't come to the phone,” Rose tried explaining to her.

“Yes of course he's busy tarnishing Liam's name,what else could he be up to?” Linda asked.

“I still don't understand why you're head over heels with that man!” Rose said.

“Liam is the love of my life and that will never change,” Linda replied while throwing her phone on the couch out of frustration.

“The earlier you accept that he moved on and now he is with Ava the better for your mental health,” Rose replied.

“Like I care about that bitch,for your information,I'm not stopping…I'm gonna fight for him no matter what,” Linda said.

“Okay but we both know that he won't come back to you no matter how much you want it to happen,” Rose concluded.

“Your phone is ringing,” Rose pointed at Linda's phone on the couch.

“Oh so you finally made up your mind and called me?” Linda blurted over the phone.

“Why so many missed calls like I owe you a fortune?!” Herman asked.

“I wouldn't have called you many times if only you picked up at the first try,” Linda replied.

“Hey,I'm a busy guy and that explains why I didn't pick up so I think next time it's better just leave me a text message instead of calling me numerous times,” he replied.

“Whatever,so what are you up to?” Linda asked.

“What do you mean by that? Am I your son or what?!” Herman blurted.

“It's a simple question so just answer me,” she replied.

“What am I up to? I'm at work,so?” he asked.

“No,I mean why did you do what you did?” she asked

“Linda, look,if you can't ask me straight questions then forget about calling me again,” he arrogantly replied.

“Herman,why did you tarnish Liam's name? I know it was you who started that rumor on the Internet and don't you dare try to deny it,” she scolded him.

“Haha ohh you mean that! So tell me why you're so mad?” he asked while laughing out so loud.

“Herman,this shit ain't funny…you know you could make him lose his company and everything he has worked for in years in just a blink,” she entreated.

“Exactly my point,that's why I like working with you Linda because you know how to read my mind…my goal was to put him down and everything he has worked for,” he said while laughing.

“That's so wicked Herman!” she said.

“And that makes the two of us,Linda…haha,” he replied.

“You know you're annoying right! No wonder that bitch couldn't stand you and she left you for Liam,” Linda cursed him.

“Linda,don't you dare call Ava a bitch,that's my wife you're talking about here,” he replied but more of roaring.

“Then tell us why she no longer stays in her marital house nor her husband? Haha,Herman you should accept that you're a lover now,” she devilishly laughed.

“Shut the fuck up already,” Herman scolded her on the other end.

“He who laughs last…..,” she continued laughing and Herman hung up on her.

“Ohh he hung up on me! Haha,” she looked at her phone to confirm.

“What did you expect when you both are acting like kids…you two are just delusional by the way,” Rose stood up and walked away from there because she couldn't stand her sister anymore.

Ava's p.o.v

“I think it's safe for us to step out of the office now,” I told Liam.

“Yeah let's go back home,” he grabbed his laptop bag and we moved to our car then drove back home.

We made a stop at some restaurant and had our dinner because we were very hungry and once we got done,we went home and did our night routine then time went by and it was already morning.

We were on our way at the office when Liam received a phone call.

“Good morning Mr.Liam," the man greeted him.

“Yes good morning,what's the plan today?” Liam asked while focusing on the road.

“Uhm will you please inform Miss Ava that Mr.Wilson will be picking her up in the next thirty minutes at the office,” the man said and Liam glanced at me.

“Sorry to ask but why is he picking her up?” he asked

“Haha oh Mr.Liam you already forgot!? They're going for a site tour like discussed in the meeting yesterday,” he replied.

“Oh about that! Seriously it had skipped my mind…okay then,I'm going to let her know,” Liam replied.

“Okay then,good day sir,” he wished him before hanging up.

“Baby girl,I guess today is the day,” he glanced at me.

“Yeah I heard him but I don't feel like spending time with that man after everything he has put us through already,” I slapped myself in the face.

“Yes baby girl I understand but it won't be forever when working with him,” he assured me.

We reached the company but as we drove to the parking lot,we saw Herman standing outside his car and leaning on it while pocketing and staring at our direction where we came from.

“What do you mean he is already here?!” Liam asked

“I'm also shocked…I thought the man on the phone said in the next thirty minutes but only ten minutes have passed,he is really getting on our nerves,” I slapped myself in the face.

“Calm down baby girl,we don't have to show him our weakness because it will be to his advantage to use us as rags so let's not give him a chance,” Liam rubbed my back to calm me down…I looked at him and he closed in for a hug but while pulling out,I wrapped my hands around his neck and rubbed my nose tip with his while making eye contact and we both suddenly put on smiles.

“You're right babe…let's go and meet him,”I pulled myself together .

“Are you sure?” he asked just to confirm.

“Yes babe I'm sure…I can handle it,” I gave him a warm smile then we stepped out of the car.
