~Ava's p.o.v~We were rushing to make it back to our office when Liam's secretary came running after us in the corridor,

“Boss boss…,” she called him out and we stopped.

“Yes,what's up?” He asked.

“Uhm I'm really sorry to call you out like that but I need your help right now,” she replied.

“Yes,what happened?” He asked.

“A customer came with a complaint and we tried handling him but he insisted that he wanted to talk to you personally,”she replied in one go while catching her breath.

“Ohh then where's he?” He replied out of concern.

“Uhm I left him in the lobby,” she replied.

“Okay,then take me to him,”he replied.

“Ava,you can wait for me from the office,I'm sure it won't take long,” he gently held my hand and made eye contact with me before walking away.

I moved back to our office and sat behind my desk but since today I didn't come to work,I just pulled out my phone and went through the news feeds as I waited for him but to my surprise,something caught my attention.

There was news all over the Internet about Liam's company and many influencers had made several posts about it…Could this be the reason why a client came complaining at the company?! I asked myself.

I stood up from my seat and started pacing back and forth in the office while going through the comments on almost every post but everyone wasn't happy with Liam and I know this might cost him a fortune because if his name is tarnished on the Internet,that means his company is going down as well.

~Liam in the lobby~

“Uhm boss,that is the client,” his secretary showed him where the man was sitting.

“Thank you very much,please go back to your work,I'll take it from here,” Liam replied.

“Uhm,good afternoon sir,” Liam extended his hand to greet the gentleman who was anxiously waiting for him.

“Are you Mr.Liam?” He stood up and buttoned his suit while glaring at him.

“Yes that's me,I'm the boss and owner of this company…please how may I help you?” Liam calmly asked him.

“Hmm I see,no wonder you do what you do around here,” he replied but it was more vexing.

“Sir,I'm not getting you here…please kindly address your issue because I'm here to provide solutions to it,” Liam replied.

“Look Mr.loverboy I'm not here to get solutions but rather to warn you,” he took a few steps towards Liam.

“Okay,but what did I do?” Liam shrugged innocently while stepping back.

“Do you know your employee by the name of Sylvia?” he looked dead in his eyes

“Yes I know her,Sylvia is one of my good and hard working employees here…what about her?” Liam asked.

“Well,I'm her dad,that's my baby girl,” he lifted his head a bit high to meet up with Liam's since they weren't at the same height.

“Okay,nice to meet you then but that is not enough reason to act in the way you're acting right now,” Liam replied.

“Look,stay away from my daughter,I know she's very good looking with a nice body but stay the fuck away from her,” he moved forward and pushed him on the chest and Liam moved in his position.

“Sir,Sylvia is just my employee nothing more to that,please if you're trying to pass on some information I beg you to be specific because I don't want you to cause a commotion here,” Liam tried to keep his emotions down.

“Like I said from the start, I was here to warn you and now my work here is done…hope you take my warning serious because next time I come back here,I will forget that you're my daughter’s boss,” He picked up his briefcase from the couch where he was sitting and turned to leave.

“At least tell me why you're warning me,what did I do?” Liam held his hand before he walked out.

“Make use of the Internet my friend and don't put your filthy hands on me,” he pulled his hand from Liam's grip and angrily walked out of the building..

“What just happened here?? Wait, are those paparazzi outside my company? What the hell is going on that I have no idea of??!” Liam asked himself.

“Hey don't let anyone inside,let me come back first,” Liam instructed the security guard and rushed back to his office.

Ava's p.o.v

“Thank God you're back,I almost went crazy in here,” I ran up to him and gave him a tight hug.

“Baby girl I really don't know what's going on,” he buried his face in my embrace and I hugged him more to calm him down.

“Babe,everyone is going crazy on the Internet,what did that client want?” I asked while pulling out of the hug.

“He came to warn me about his daughter who works here and he was very angry but I didn't get where he got this anger from,” he replied while taking a seat.

“Well I think you haven't visited the Internet yet but to break it for you,someone started a rumour that you date your employees and in order for most girls to keep their jobs here,they have to first sleep with you,” I tried explaining to him.

“What!? Who in the world has the guts to talk shit about moreover on the Internet!!” He kicked the trash can out of anger.

“Babe,of course we know who is capable of doing that,” I replied.

“Now that explains why that gentleman almost wanted to strangle me back then,” he replied.

“Yes most probably,” I rubbed his back to calm him down.

“But now the paparazzi are out there already,how are we going to handle them?” He punched his desk really hard out of frustration.

“I'm going to call an emergency meeting before anyone walks out and we find a solution together because it's only us who work with you that can testify against these accusations,” I kissed him on the lips before hugging him.

“Wait here let me come back babe,it's just a few minutes to 5pm,I need to get all of them in the boardroom on time,” I pecked him.

I ran to his secretary's office and told her how I wanted to handle the situation and she cooperated,we called everyone in the boardroom and after making sure that everyone was in the room,I stood up and took the mic.
