Ava's p.o.v I walked to the office and found Liam working on his laptop…he stood up from his seat in one go and ran up to me.

He lifted me up from the ground and I wrapped my hands around his neck so that I wouldn't fall off.

“I missed you bad my girl,” he said while squeezing me in a tight hug.

“I see haha…but I also missed you babe,” I hugged him more

“Do you need something to eat? I'm sure you're hungry,” he put me back down and I stood on my feet.

“No babe,I had something to eat on my way here,” I replied.

“Oh okay,” he walked back behind his desk but he wasn't happy about it.

“But you can order,I will eat some of yours,” I sat down in the chair in front of his desk.

“Nope it's okay…I'm good,” he replied while opening his laptop.

“So tell me,how did it go?” He asked without even staring at me.

“Uhm,well,it went down well…and we shall be doing that this entire week because we need to select the good materials to be used throughout the whole project,” I replied.

“Full week of spending time with that fool! Hmmm,” he scoffed.

“Come on babe! Just work related nothing much,” I replied.

“Of course it is Ava and I understand,” he glanced at me.

I think he wasn't in his mood right now so I stood up and went to my desk and looked through my pending work.

“Did you remember to take your medication?" he asked.

“What medication?” I raised an eyebrow while plugging my phone on the charger.

“Baby girl, you're too forgetful! We visited the doctor the other day and he gave you some tabs to take…do you remember something like that?” He asked.

“Ohh about that,dang it! I had forgotten all about it haha,” I picked up my bag and searched for my tabs.

“Thanks babe for reminding me,” I thanked him.

“I'm always here for you baby girl,” his pink lips curved into a smile.

When evening arrived,we packed our stuff and went back home.

The following day,we did our morning routine and left for work and as usual we met Herman outside the company building waiting for me.

Liam went inside to do his work as we also went to meet the rest of the guys concerning the project.

We went to different service providers to select a few of the things that we would be using like tiles and selecting the perfect colour,the paint we will use inside and out,the design of doors and windows to be used.

It was a tough task because we all had different choices but we managed to come up with a final decision.

That took us like three consecutive days to finalise with the selections and everything needed.

The following days we just visited the site and supervised as they started clearing and leveling the land. It was hectic for me because we spent hours standing and since I'm pregnant,my legs used to get numb but I forced myself to be strong.

We used to get back to the company in the evening due to a lot of work but Liam wasn't happy at all but there's nothing i could do about it.

Herman had told me that we were just going to be part of this whole work during the first week but unfortunately,it required us to keep reporting there for almost three weeks straight and this was the new normal.

“Hey Herman,Ava won't be reporting to work today…don't bother waiting for her,” I heard Liam on the phone.

“What are you saying?” I asked in my sleepy voice.

“You're not feeling well,you haven't been taking good care of yourself for the past weeks….you don't eat well nor do you get enough sleep so please you're staying home today, “ he requested.

“Come on Liam,I can do this,don't force me to miss work,” I sat upright and leaned back.

“I'm now ordering you as your boss so today you're not stepping out of this house and that's final…wait here,let me get your breakfast,” he stood up and left the bedroom.

I heard my phone buzzing and I stood up from the bed to check who it was and it was Herman but I didn't pick him up.

He called again three times but I still refused to pick him up…later he sent me messages and my inbox flooded.

“Hey,what kind of games are you playing with your stupid boyfriend?”

“I asked him why you won't be working today and he chose not to answer me,”

“Now,same applies to you,I'm calling you and you're not answering my calls nor my texts,”

“If you don't pick up or text me,I'm going to show up at your home,”

I threw my phone on the bed in frustration and I lost balance.I couldn't see clearly so I slowly sat on the bed.

“What happened? Are you okay?” Liam walked back in with a tray of food then asked when he saw me holding my head with my hand.

“Babe please let me go to work,Herman is going crazy already and he has been calling on my phone since you left this room,” I told him.

“I see you're not fine and instead of thinking about your health,you're busy worrying about that man!” He wasn't happy with my actions,so he placed the tray on the table.

“Babe,I'm feeling dizzy,” I said.

“First sit down for a while and I feed you some of this food,” he gave me his hand to stand up so that I could go and sit on the chair but my legs went numb and my body was about to slam on the ground when Liam came to rescue and held me still.

“Baby girl you're not okay at all,we need to go and see a doctor this very minute,” he picked me up in bridal style and drove me to the hospital.

I could barely see clearly because my vision was blurry and my body wasn't cooperating at all.

We reached the hospital and Liam carried me inside, we both in our pajamas but at this moment we cared less.

The nurses offered him a wheelchair but he refused and carried me straight to the ward and after laying me on the bed,I heard the nurses telling him to wait from outside, then my eyes went shut and everything became dark.
