Ava's p.o.v “Mom,I got a bruise,” I heard her crying from outside and I quickly ran to see what happened.

“Halsey what happened? Let me see,” I held her hand in mine and slowly blew air on it to calm down the pain.

“Mom,I was trying to put my bag in the truck but it was too heavy so I slipped and fell hence hurting my hand,” she replied with her puffy eyes.

“It's okay baby but I told you me and your dad are going to handle it…next time please listen to me okay,” I lifted her from the ground and moved back to the house.

“I'm sorry mom,it will never happen again,” she firmly squeezed my hand as we walked.

“It's okay baby,I trust you,” I rubbed her hair.

“What happened? Why is my princess crying?” Liam carried her from the ground and she cried more.

“She hurt herself from outside while trying to help with the luggage,” I replied.

“Ohh Angel,you shouldn't bother yourself with such,we the adults can always do it,” he pecked her on the cheek and rubbed off the tears which kept flowing like a river.

“My love, I hope you have packed everything,I don't want us to leave anything behind,” he told me.

“Yes I'm done crosschecking and I assure you that I haven't left anything behind,” I replied.

“Okay then,let me take the remaining luggage…please put some ointment on her hand for a meantime,” he handed me Halsey then he carried other luggage to the truck.

Well,it's been six years since we left our home town and moved to Italy to start off a new life and that's where I gave birth from as well.

I gave birth to a beautiful daughter whom we named Halsey who matters the most in my life right now.I put her first before anything and anyone.

It was Liam's idea to relocate to Italy so that we would be away from everyone since I was pregnant and we changed our contracts so that no one could reach us unless it's us to reach out to them and only about business.

We stayed at the cabin for roughly two weeks and once preparations were done,we travelled here leaving everything behind but now it's time to go back and face our past…Liam was opening up a new branch of his company and he had to be present on the grand opening which is in two weeks time so he couldn't leave us behind,we had to tag along.

We had a long talk about this and we came to the conclusion that we had to go back home because I will be the one running that branch.

The project that we were handling with Herman was a big success because it's generating a lot of profits and everyone is happy about it.

To be honest,everything has been moving on so well on our side and last year,Liam proposed to me and I said yes because he has really loved me unconditionally and there's no other person I would wish to marry again other than him.

First thing I'm going to do when I reach home,I need to change my lawyer because the one I had before stabbed me in the back and sided with Herman. Tell me why till now he hasn't prepared the divorce papers yet? I need to be legally free from that man and it's because of pregnancy that I became reluctant but not any more now.

I finished doing first aid on Halsey's hand but she had dozed off due to over crying I guess.

I was planning to carry her when Liam walked in,

“It's okay babe,let me carry her…take your bag and her shoes please,” he carried her in his hands and I followed him behind.

“I'm going to sit with her so that she sleeps well,” I suggested

“So you mean you're going to carry her throughout the journey to the airport?” He asked.

“Yes babe,why do you look surprised?” I asked.

“Babe,that journey is quite long, almost one and a half hours,” he replied.

“Yeah I know but I'm sure she will wake up anytime from now,” I replied.

“Haha okay then,first take your seat then I pass her over to you,” he opened the door for me with his one hand.

We set off and just as I expected,Halsey woke up when we had just driven for twenty minutes.

“Mummy, I want to use the bathroom,” she said while yawning.

“Okay baby,let me make a stop over there at the gas station,” Liam said.

I told Halsey that Liam is her dad because I didn't want my girl to grow up without a fatherly figure in her life and besides Liam is a good dad to her no regret about that.

“Here you go sweetheart,”he pulled over

I stepped out with Halsey and took her to the washroom and after doing everything,we moved back to the car.

She sat in the back seat and after fixing her seat belt,I came back in the passenger seat.

“Mummy,I need some chocolate,” she said.

“Okay sweetie here you go,” I picked some from the bag and gave her a packet.

“Thanks mom,” she thanked me.

“You're welcome sweetie,” I gave her a smile through the rare view mirror.

“Dad,do you need a bite?” She asked Liam.

“Yeah sure baby,” he stretched his hand and she broke a piece for him.

“Uhm yummy! Thanks baby for sharing with me,” he said and she giggled.

Liam turned on the music player and looked back at Halsey,

“Baby,you know our driveway song right?” He asked.

“Yes daddy yes,” she clapped out while grinning.

“Guys please spare me that song,my ears have had enough and they're now bleeding,” I begged them.

“Mummy please, only this one more time we promise,” she pouted.

“You can't say no to that face,come on babe,” Liam teased me.

“Okay okay,go on and play your song,” I covered my ears.

“Yuppyyyy,” Halsey started clapping while singing along with Liam.

“The wheels on the bus go round and round…round and round…round and round. The wheels on the bus go round and round, all through the town….,” they sang in unison and Halsey was smiling ear to ear.

“Mummy sing along with us please …,”she begged me and there's no way I can say no to her request so I sang along with them.
