Isabella’s POV

Perhaps it was because I was too startled at his sudden appearance. Or maybe it was simply the shock from discovering the file in the first place, but I stood frozen solid as Ethan stalked toward me and ripped the file from my hand. 

My limbs simply refused to move as I watched him stalk over to the fireplace and flip on the switch. It was only as I watched the flames leap to life that my brain kick-started.
