“My relationship? With Sebastian?” I repeated the words, confused at their meaning. “I don't have a relationship with Sebastian.”

It was clear from King Victor's expression that he did not believe me. His next words confirmed my thoughts.

“Is that so? Yet, that heart-wrenching display in reaction to his death would suggest otherwise.”
