I leaned against the door of the shower stall as panic beset me. I hated the dark. It was one of the few things I couldn’t conquer my fear of.

All because of that night…

“Let’s calm down, Leti,” I whispered aloud to myself while my hand fumbled for the shower door handle. “It’s probably just a power outage. It’ll be back up soon.”
