CHAPTER THREE

LILY

"Where is the alpha?" I asked the maid as soon as I arrived back in the castle. Finally, I had gotten rid of that damn bitch, Mira.

She was stupid for thinking that I would let her become the Luna so easily. I was the one who met the Luna first, I was the one who fell in love with him first and he can only be mine.

But then she appeared out of nowhere. Just because she shared a damn mate bond with him, she thought that she could have him just like that.

I did not care about things like a stupid mate bond and a fate, all I knew aar that if I wanted something, I would stop at nothing to make sure that I got it.

No one was going to stand in my way as long as I was still breathing!

"The alpha is tending to his mother," I heard the maid reply me.

Ah, yes, the mother of Lucas, that was another dumb woman who didn't want to let me be.

She was the mother of Lucas, and since Lucas had not named his Luna, she was currently the Luna of the pack.

However, she did not acknowledge her place, and she thought she could stop me from being with Luna.

I smirked to myself, I had gotten rid of all of the people who stood in my way, I will be Lucas' Luna, and he will just have to accept that fact!

Lucas was tending to his mother when I entered the chambers. I watched her with a cold look in my eyes. She couldn't blame me, if only she had agreed to work with me to get rid of Mira....!

It was a good thing I could use her to get rid of Mira, with her in bed like this it was easy to frame Luna for trying to kill Vanessa because she wanted to be the Luna as soon as possible.

"Lucas, you have been here the whole day....perhaps you would like to rest? I know you are sad over what happened to your mother, but you are going to crash sooner or later if you keep doing this," I said to him.

I went over to Lucas and held him in my arms, playing the role of a supportive mistress really well.

Lucas shook his head and turned to face me. His eyes were wet with unshed tears. He really had a strong bond with his mother and he would have done anything she asked.

It was a good thing I thought quickly and got rid of her before she could cause any issues for me.

"I....I just don't like what to say....she's so ill....I don't know if she's going to wake up or not. I just don't think that Mira would do something like this? Just because she wants to become the Luna earlier?" Lucas asked, a confused look on his face.

I sighed and shook my head, "I could not believe it when I first found out about it too, but it is the truth. I guess.... people always want power and they will do crazy things for power. It's a good thing we found out the kind of person she was before it was too late...." I said.

Lucas took my hand and he stared at my face lovingly. He patted my hand, "I am sorry for the way I treated you in the past. I told you you couldn't become the Luna because......"

I shook my head, "don't worry, Alpha, I understand, Mira was the one you loved after all," I lowered my head as I said this.

"Don't mention her name to me anymore!" He snapped at me.

Lucas stood up and stared to pace around the bedroom.

"You are already pregnant, there's no one more fit to be Luna than you. With my mother in this condition, we do need a Luna as soon as possible," Lucas said.

He didn't look at my face as he said this, but I didn't mind. I was finally getting what I wanted. I looked down at my stomach and rubbed it lovingly .

This baby had given me everything I ever wanted. I knew Lucas, and I knew he wouldn't have made a quick decision if I wasn't pregnant!

Fred was waiting for me in my chambers when I got back. I was shocked to see him, and I stared at his face in shock.

It was a good thing I had sent the maid serving me away for the night. otherwise, who knew what would happen if they saw him here.

"What are you doing here? Are you trying to get us in trouble?" I snapped at him in a low voice.

Fred grabbed my shoulders and forced me to look at him, "don't tell me you don't want to see me?" He asked me, a lewd smile on his face.

I pushed him away from me, "I don't have the time for this, Fred. Remember we have to be careful. Also, the job with Mira is done right? Make sure that you kill all of the guards who killed her. We can't have anything knowing anything," I said, a cold look on my face .

I had come this far, I couldn't leave any evidences or witnesses.

"Well, that's the thing, none of the guards came back. I went to check the woods because I was worried, I found thier bodies, they had all been killed," he informed me.

I turned to face Fred sharply. "What? All of them couldn't kill Mira? How are they so useless?" I demanded to know.

"I am sure she had help. There's no way Mira could have done this on her own, she..."

I grabbed Fred's collar and pulled him to myself, "I don't care if she had help or not. If Mira is still alive, then you need to kill her. Remember, you and I are going to die if she comes back and tells the truth about this. You have to....you have to kill her!" I ordered.
