CHAPTER FOUR

CHAPTER FOUR

"Damn it! Fuck, why am I doing this? Mira, you are so fucking stupid," I cursed at myself as I dragged the man with me into a cave.

Finding out that the Vampire who had saved me was badly hurt, there was no way I could leave him out there on his own. My conscience was hurting, no matter what he was, he had saved my life, the most I could do for him was make sure that he lived right?.

Inside of the cave was dark and damp, but we didn't have another choice. We would just have to make do with this.

I laid him on the ground and I tore open his shirt properly..

I saw the wound properly for the first time and, and it was even worse than I thought. The sword had been stabbed deep into his chest, and whoever had done it wanted his life.

I heard the Vampire moaning in pain and I placed my hand on his forehead.

Realising that he was running a high fever, I started to panic. He might not survive if I did not do something soon.

Making a rash decision, I rushed outside of the cave and tried to find some herbs.

My wolf might not be strong, but I was good at making medicine.

I was sure I could find some herbs I could use to treat his wound and preserve his life for at least a few days

Walking around the woods and trying to find some medicinal herbs was difficult since it was pitch dark.

I could also hear some voices that scared me out of my senses. It was probably some small animals but after everything I had been through today, anything was enough to scare me.

I heard a rumble in the sky, and before I knew it, the rain started to fall.

"Damn it, the moon goddess just hates me and wants me to die, right?" I muttered to myself.

I couldn't give up now, not when I knew there was someone who was die soon if I didn't go back.

Taking a deep breath, I continued in the rain, and it seemed like I was finally experiencing a stroke of luck, because I found a few herbs I could use in one spot

Taking as many as I could, I hurried back to the cave.

The vampire was in an even worse situation when I rushed back. His face was all tightened up, and he was obviously in a lot of pain.

I hurriedly started grinding the herbs and I placed them on his wound.

Then, I cut the others into small pieces and fed them to him.

He tried to push me away at first but he was to weak to do any damage to me. After some struggle, I was able to get him to eat all of the herbs.

I leaned my back against a wall in the cave and I sighed. I was feeling tired after everything I had been through.

I looked at the face of the vampire. He was no longer whimpering in pain and his face seemed to be brightening up.

I smiled to myself, after all I had gone through to save his life, he had better live!

Feeling tired, I closed my eyes, and before I knew it, I had drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

"No ...get away from me....get away..." I was woken up by the vampire muttering something.

My eyes snapped open at once, and I saw him struggling..

I instantly rushed to him and tried to get him to calm down.

"Please listen to me, you are safe," I said as I reached out to him.

However, he pushed me away while still shaking his head.

"Get away from me, or else I am going to kill you!" He snapped..

I sighed, feeling drained. Why was I doing this to myself, seriously? Did I think I wasn't suffering enough?

Refusing to give up, I walked over to him and grabbed his arm, "Sir, you are safe now, I brought you here so...." I was barely done with my words when a large hand wrapped around my neck.

The vampire's eyes snapped open at once and he started to choke me.

"Who sent you? Vincent?" He asked me, a murderous look in his eyes.

My eyes went wide as I coughed. "No ...no..." I tried to say something, but his grip on my neck tightened.

He stood up suddenly, still choking me. The vampire slammed my body against the wall of the cave and just when I thought he could not choke me harder, he increased his grip on my neck.

My eyes went wide and I coughed loudly, I could feel the life being choked out of me.

"Who sent you?! Answer me!" Ha screamed in my face.

I coughed once again and tapped on his hand, how was I supposed to answer anything when he was actively trying to kill me?

Finally, he seemed to notice the situation I was, and he let go of me. My body fell down to the ground in a thud and I cursed.

Foolish me, this was what I got for trying to be a hero and saving someone!

The vampire was still staring at me like I was his enemy.

"You....I saved your life!" I yelled at him. Immediately those words were out of my mouth, I felt bad.

After all, someone had indeed tried to kill me, it would make sense that he was on guard right?

He sneered at me, "save my life? I don't know what other plans Vincent has, but none of it is going to work!" He said forcefully.

I shook my head, "I don't like who Vincent is, all I do know is that you saved my life, and I saved your life back. Some guards were trying to kill me, and you killed them instead," I said.

How he was able to finish off more than five guards while being in a terrible condition was a mystery to me!

"You mean....those guards weren't here to kill me?" He stared at me in shock.
