I sat in the police station, still reeling from the gruesome sight of my parents' bodies. An officer handed me a warm cup of coffee. "We need to ask you a few questions," he said. I nodded, ready to answer. I had been sitting there for over an hour with Damon and Kayden steadfastly by my side.
