The trip could have been more comfortable. It was Damon that made me feel out of my character and feel my heart flutter around him. Thank god June said nothing, seeing Damon and me standing close. Still, she asked me to be extra careful around Alpha Kayden. I looked out of the moving car as Damon drove out of the pack territory; the guards bowing their heads in respect to Damon as the car moved from the Pack to the human route.
