Raisel – POV

Soren was silent for a long moment.

“I can’t do that, Raisel,” he said finally, his voice low, firm. “I have no love for this man. I don’t want to help him. If I’m going to ask for something… it will be for you.”

I sighed internally.

“He’s right to want you,” Soren murmured, a knowing smile playing on his lips.

“I don’t know what to ask for now… but I will later,” I admitted.

“As you wish. Take care,” he said simply.
