There was an eerie presence looming over her this morning “Good morning” I had greeted. There wasn’t a response, she coldly walked past me, her eyes evading my gaze.

“Morning” she finally answered but I could tell she did this out of obligation. It felt unreal, like she wasn’t the woman I went to the mall with two days ago.
