The chains dragged me down to the bottle like a siren taking her prey to her deadly lair.

“Meadow, shift!” I urged my wolf.

It was dark, but Rune and I landed at the same time. I couldn’t see my surroundings.

I worried Rune wouldn’t be able to free herself in time and would be lost in this dark underworld.

However, Meadow wasn’t responding to my plea to shift.
