Saying Alpha Seth looked furious was an understatement. If steam could blow out of his ears and pop open his head, it would. He was as red as a tomato, and the veins in his neck and head were sticking out.

“EVERYONE OUT!” He ordered.

I flinched, but Maverick was there to hold me.

The people who just bowed to us scurried out of the kitchen like rats. My heart hammered against my chest.

“You lied to me,” Seth spat.
