They had me down here for hours. No food, no water and sometimes Trevor would turn off the lights to frighten me. Naturally, wolves had better eyesight than humans, but just knowing I was in the dark all alone scared the shit out of me.

“Does my deadly venom melt metal, too?” I asked Meadow.

“Nope.”

“Did you know about it?”

“You needed to find out on your own. There’s only so much the moon goddess allows me to tell you.”
