FOUR MONTHS LATER

Where is Maverick? He was holding a combat class in Nassgar. He left over five hours ago. He should be home by now. The setting sun wasn’t helping with my nerves either.

“Earth to Odessa!” Evyn waved her hands in the air. “What’s got you so distracted?”

“Oh, I’m sorry. Maverick should be back by now,” I replied.

“Oh, Storm said they were together. Probably doing something stupid.”
