I wasn't sure if what I had witnessed was real. Derrick brushed past Chloris and headed toward me. Strangely, he didn't look the slightest bit perturbed by his actions.

"Sharon, are you alright?" he began, his voice heavy with remorse and concern. "What happened in there, with Coach?"
