RUBBY

I woke up with a dull, persistent throb pulsing behind my temples; my body was heavy with exhaustion as I forced my opens to open.

Finally, my eyelids fluttered open, adjusting to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. For a minute or so, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling, feeling the remnants of sleep clinging to me like a fog.

Then, suddenly, it hit me.

The club, The drink, The dizziness, And then… Alex.

I sucked in a sharp breath as the memories rushed ...
