"Oh, Mom, please, you don't have to create a scene about it. Just stay quiet." Noah snapped, and Mom visibly went crazy. Nope, she didn't act wild; she got silent, but everyone could tell she was enraged. "So, doctor, you said something about her health; will it affect her baby?" Dad asked.
"No, no, her baby's condition is stable," Dr. Jones assured. Dad sighed and nodded. He turned to Noah and said, "Go with Doctor Jones and get the bills". "Sure, Dad," Noah agreed without any hesitation and went with the doctor to his office. Meanwhile, the lady was wheeled out of the theater.
In the ward assigned to her, she rested her back against the pillow as she stared. She spoke up, looking gratified, her sweet voice with the nomadic Italian accent reminding me of the Wright couple who were just eight blocks away from our home.
"Thank you so much; I truly appreciate it. Thank you, Noah and Nora. Thank you, Mr. Joshua and His wife."
I almost spat out saliva as I heard her say that. Damn, Mom was almost in a flaming rage. "It's all fine, dear. Get well soon, and we can't leave you all alone in this place and in this state. Don't you remember anything about your family?" Dad asked. The lady thought for a while and blankly shook her head. "Noo," she replied. "Not even your name?" I inquired, and she went back to thinking. Her expression turned pale, and I almost screamed.
"Oh dear, stop thinking about it; it's fine; we'll just give you a new name for now until you recover," Noah suggested, reaching out to her, but she shook her head again and said, "Mirabel."
"Your name is Mirabel," Noah asked, and she nodded. "I see..." Dad said he trailed off when he received a phone call. He picked up the call, walked to the window, and chuckled, "We are in Ward 3045. Vip Section 08," he said and laughed before hanging up.
It didn't take long before Mr. and Mrs. Wright sauntered into the ward. The old couple in their fifties were super excited as they got in. It is known all over that Georgia, Mrs. Wright, is infertile and can't bear children. Out of immense love for her, he decided not to have kids with any other woman and settled for adoption. They had two adopted children who were currently studying abroad, but this couple still wanted a child to spoil.
Dad had called them, asking if they had already found a teenager who was interested in getting adopted, but they said they, unfortunately, hadn't, which made him propose the idea of them adopting Mirabel. He also explained Mirabel's situation to them, and that made them super excited. Having to witness a grandchild being born made them so ecstatic that they immediately rushed over.
"My, my, what a beautiful angel you are," Georgia complimented the moment her eyes fell on Mirabel. She looked so explicitly satisfied with her beauty that she instantly wanted to take her home. "I didn't know our new daughter was going to be so young and beautiful, Lucas. Shall we take her home already?" She asked, and as she turned to Lucas Wright, her husband.
Dad and I chuckled, and Noah smiled. Georgia turned to my dad. "Thank you so much, Mr. Joshua; she's a star." Her words made Dad crack up. "Getting her to be your daughter is not just my choice; you have to follow the procedures, get the government's approval, and most importantly, get her clearance," he said and then gestured at Mirabel, who had been confused.
"Mirabel, these are Mr. And Mrs. Wright. They live eight blocks away from us and would love to adopt you as their daughter and take care of you. They will also take care of your baby.

"It's fine; I just caught a cold. I'm fine now. I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to worry," Mirabel said, cutting me off. "Really? Let's see," I spoke out, spinning her around. Her balance was okay, and she didn't look sick, so I nodded.
"The competition will be starting in an hour, Noah; we have to win this," she said, staring at Noah with determination, and he agreed. Both of them shared silent looks.
"Are we going back to college today after the competition?" "No!" Noah and Mirabel replied at the same time, and I grinned. "I knew we wouldn't; I was just joking, hahaha."
"Silly," Mirabel said as she pulled my cheeks and rubbed my hair like some pony. Oh, how many times do I have to tell you to stop?" I grumbled. "It's a habit," She retorted, going forward and placing herself on the couch.
"Aren't you coming to the table for breakfast?" Noah asked, his looks prompting her to tag along with us, but either she didn't understand his quiet pleading, or she just ignored it, but Mirabel politely declined.
"Go ahead, Noah; I'm all fine, and I've had my fill before coming here. Mom makes sure of that."
"Umm... okay, then the TV remote is over there," Noah awkwardly mumbled as he pointed at the remote, and she smiled at him without saying anything.

Mirabel's POV.
"Che tragedia! Ti comporti ancora come un fallito? Non Ti capisce bene
(How tragic! Do you still act like a failure? I don't quite get you.)
"Sono passati così tanti anni, ma mi hai ancora lasciato addormentato. Non lo voglio, sono stanco di lasciare una stanza di energia oscura sentendomi così debacle."
(It's been so many years, but you still left me in slumber. I do not want that; I am tired of living in a dark energy room, feeling so weak.)
"Mi lateral uscire, o vuoi che mi fori la via d'uscita?"
(Will you let me out, or do you want me to force my way out?)
"(Chi sei? (Perché continua a darmi fastidio?) Who are you? Why do you keep bothering me?" I yelled as I searched around the illusory world.
This place has always haunted me. Each time I closed my eyes, I saw myself here in this unknown realm, speaking weird languages I didn't even know how I understood.
A white foot suddenly appeared, looking sparkling as snow. Another one materialized, and four feet suddenly became visible. In front of me was a giant white wolf. It was beautiful, with the fur on its head being silver in color.
The wolf's figure was enchanting, making me think this wolf is a she-wolf, and it looked as if it were smiling at me. I noticed her eyes were IDENTICAL to mine. They were shining brown, and her lashes were super long. Oh, what a beautiful creature!
(Ciao Mirabel, sono Maria e sono il tuo lupo, il tuo compagno. Finalmente sei venuta a trovarmi.)
"Hi Mirabel, I'm Maria, and I'm your wolf and your companion. You finally came to see me."
"Hysterical," I mumbled. I peeled my eyes open, and I realized I was still at Timothy's home and lying on the couch.
"What the hell was that?" I uttered, everything seeming real yet unreal.
