MAYA'S POV

I sneak carefully along the sides of the building, bending my head and looking around as I follow Morien's steps.

"Shhh." Morien glances back. "Follow me. I know a shortcut." He says, crossing the lawn.

I obey and cross the lawn with him. I move my feet as quietly as I can because every little sound I hear rings like an alarm in my ears.

We take the left turn and arrive at the graveyard. "Wow, teleporting through the lawn?" I joke.

Unfortunately, Morien doesn't get the joke. ...
