MAYA'S POV

I wake up the next day to a vial stuck under my pillow; so much for Jaden saying he’d never bother me again. And a letter tossed under my door requesting my presence in the Grandmistress’ office. Shit. I hope I’m not in trouble.

I yawn, jump off my bed, and in record time I'm dressed and ready for the day. At this point, I don't even know what to expect because with each passing day I'm learning new things but still far away from finding my way home.
