LYRA’s POV

“Hello?”

My voice echoed into the darkness, swallowed by the thick, suffocating air around me. I blinked, trying to adjust my eyes, but there was nothing—no light, no sound except for the faint echo of my own breathing. The air smelled damp, almost metallic, like wet stone and rust. My hands instinctively reached out, brushing against the cold, rough floor beneath me.

My heart pounded hard in my chest. Where was I? Who the hell took me?
