Anna was startled by Vincenzo’s sudden kiss. A jolt ran through her, and her body went rigid with shock. 

Every nerve screamed at her to pull away, yet slowly, almost imperceptibly, she let herself melt into him.

The kiss was sloppy, wet from the rain, and rougher than Anna expected.
