I adjust my tie as we pull into the Blake family's driveway. Dad glances at me from the passenger seat.

"You seem tense," Dad says.

"I'm fine." But I'm not. Ever since Eleanor slapped me and ran off with that crazy story about some mark, she's been acting weird.

But whatever. The engagement was arranged anyway. The announcement is in three days.
