The phone kept ringing and I just stared at it, my hands shaking slightly.

“Ally? What's wrong? Who’s calling?” Brittany asked, her voice pulling me out of my daze.

I jerked slightly and answered the call and pulled the phone slowly against my ears.

“Why did it take you so long to pick up the phone?” He growled, his voice lined with irritation.
