There is video and photo evidence. You really were all aware. Even though between me and you, we know that is wrong” he laughed, and continued, “ but as long as the court is concerned, it all went according to the right way you know. You really can let this whole bullshit slide, and just come to accept all that has happened,”
“ Yeah you really need to, 'cause you see, even if there is no evidence to back my statement up, I am being honest with you, I know my way around very well you know what that means, don't you? I know my way around pretty well, and I and the judges, we eat and dine on the same table you know, so you have lost out on that one. It really is not your choice right now, the ball is not in your court girl, just flow with all you see.”
She was irritated at his manners and guts.
How could he be so proud?
She hissed and tossed the phone on the bed, she sighed, and shook her head before sitting up.
“ This is really insane, crazy this is happening to me right now, I am really confused right about now, I cannot even lie on this matter in all honesty.”
She held her head in her hands.
She stared at the phone, she was aware the call was still on, and she had even wanted him to hear her say all that she had said, but to her surprise, the call had ended like he had cut it by himself since she was not responsible for it.
She smiled, “Yeah real rude dude! Can't even comprehend all of this!” She got up and angrily stormed out of her room, and down the stairs in a haste.
All the people she could think of confiding in were all seemingly against her in all of this, and it just did not make sense that she would still find a way to trust them in her own world.
She mistakenly bummed into a maid carrying a bouquet of flowers.
“ Hey miss, I'm really sorry,” she apologized, and felt genuinely remorseful, until the maid replied, “Yeah I understand how you feel, that is how it feels to lose on an opportunity. You could have been in her shoes don't you think?”
Val was shocked and embarrassed at the same time, and she quickly scanned around, like to make sure there was not going to be a witness, as she intended to start a physical fight on the spot, but then her eyes caught that of her sister Alice.
“ Hey bridesmaid, how are you doing? Come on girl, you should not hurt her, I know the truth hurts most times, but then we should all find a way to get it in, and we must not hurt anyone because of how we feel you know, I stand for her in this case, I cannot watch you hurt her you know, come on, let us go and have drink or two don't you think? I know you want to.”
Alice smiled devilishly walking slowly to grab the arms of the enraged val.
“ Be a gentle girl you know, aren't we family?” She chuckled, holding her hands, and making to walk out, but Val stood still at a spot.
“ Hey what is the matter? Are we not cool anymore? And yeah that reminds me. Why were you nowhere to be found during the after-party? You know you had a toast to present? You almost spoiled the whole day in all honesty, but overall you did a good job. I mean, it's not really easy on you, and I understand how hard you try not to let your pains show, and I must say, that is really strong of you, and I am really proud of you”
She smirked at her, and hit her chest, “You find a way to swallow it all up, and accept it, or else the whole situation will swallow you up. Stay strong loser!”
She chuckled and walked away swaying her hips.
Val exhaled in anger, clenching her fists, even to her, it was a mystery as to why there had not been an escalation on the spot yet, she was not even able to comprehend how it had come about, but then she smiled, but not until the maid deemed it fit to be the right time to get on her nerves again.
“ Yeah you heard her, loser! And I don't think you can even get the better of me should we tug this thing out. You know you are much of a loser, even you cannot deny it one bit. Just so pathetic.”
The maid taunted her and smiled, careful enough to know when to quickly jog off from the scenario, just when she had gotten Val to the point of anger.
Val was a second away from inflicting pain on the woman who stood right in front of her, but for some reason, she had gotten the right timing to quit all of her yapping, and quickly back off, jogging almost running in her original direction.
She inhaled and exhaled aggressively, smacking her lips in anger.
“ Daughter of a bitch, you really are a lucky motherfucker on this day!” She cursed and walked away.
She made her way to the garden and sat by one of the flowers.
She had petted the flowers and she could not help but let the tears flow down freely from her eyes, as she had been holding them off for quite some time now, it was tears of frustration, anger, and betrayal. She really began to sob.
“ I miss mama, I really miss her, I know for sure none of this would have happened without her being around. " The whole of this place just seems so alien to me all of a sudden, like us this not the same home I grew up from?”
As she spoke to herself, she was shocked to hear a reply from an unexpected person.
“ Of course it is. It is very much the same home from which you had grown up, only that a few things have changed.
