Chapter 1

*Aethonaea pov*

My name is Aethonaea  the fourth child to my father and first and only child to my mother.

I miss my mom , I always think about her everyday and today makes exactly 14years that I saw her last .

Thinking about it brought tears to my face why didn't she say anything before leaving at least I would have gotten the chance to say goodbye , even though I knew fully well I barely I would be able to do , I love my mom so much despite the small time we spent together.

I know you think I should hate her because she left me behind , I tried to but I can't bring myself to ...

Fourteen years ago a day before my seventh birthday, I already planned out my birthday with my mom on how we were going to celebrate it and she happily agreed not knowing she already had other thoughts in mind ... I remembered greeting her goodbye and hugged me so deeply I felt something wrong with her at that moment, I felt somehow when she gave me that hug I wasn't able to put the exact word to how I felt that day but now I can say it ...

The hug was clearly goodbye hug .

I woke up the next morning to find myself being taken to an unknown land I cried my eyes out in the way asking them to return me back to my mom but the two guys that were holding me didn't bulge as a child I basically had no chance with them .

After we finally reached the land that we were going I was brought to a man who claimed to be my biological father .

Ever since i was born I have never set my eyes on the man in question I did ask my mom about my dad but she never gave me any answer and I never asked cause I knew that her mood always change whenever I brought the topic up.

The man told me that my mom begged him to take me in , I looked at the man with intense anger I could feel the words coming out from him .

He basically said it to my face that if my mom didn't beg him he wouldn't take me in and am suppose to be his biological daughter.

"I want to go back to my mom , you will never be my father " I managed to say this words but the next that answered me was a hot slap from the so called man that call himself my father .

"If you are going to live in this palace the first thing you should learn to keep quite " the man said and threw a piece of paper to me before ordering the maids around to show to my room.

Well it turns out that my father was a king and the huge palace belongs to him .

I was shown to my room , more like a basement... the slap that was given to me earlier the sting was still in my cheek I wanted to ask questions but I decided against it after the maid that brought me left I sat down on the floor since there was nothing to use as a sit and opened the piece of paper that my father threw to me , it turns out it was a letter from my mom I would have doubted it but she is the only that calls me by the name "water" so my called father wouldn't have pulled this letter off .

According to the letter my mom was sorry that she let that way , she said she will come back for me , that's how my seventh birthday went and the rest of the birthdays as well except that when I turned eighteen...

On my eighteenth birthday I was allowed to leave the palace building to look around and it was the same for my nineteenth birthday, aside from those two days all my stay at the palace I had never left the walls of the palace.

Even a palace maid ahs more right than me the kings child .

My father attitude towards me made everything worse .

His wife my step mom and step sister will trample on me ,I turned to everyone servant the king forbade me from addressing him as father .

Well I have gotten used to it already I just sit quietly and do my chores everyday while I wait for my mom to come .

Today is my twentieth birthday and I already knew that I will be allowed outside the palace today and I already mapped out the place I want to go to before I come back and the first place turns out to be the river , I so much love water I always connect with it ..

Whenever I'm in contacted with water especially with large amount I always feel this surge of energy in me that I can't explain where it is coming from .

Getting out from my basement room I walked towards the palace gate before I'm allowed to pass the guards place an iron necklace  on my neck and I was allowed to pass .

You might be asking why haven't I tried to escape if am allowed to leave the palace on my birthday, well that was definitely the first thought that crossed my mind the very first day I left and it didn't end well for me because at that time I didn't know what the iron necklace was for ...

It's actually used to bind me from running, what I do not understand is why they can't treat me well and they still can't let me leave .

I was humming a sound as I walked down to the river , there are two river in this village , and the one I'm going no one goes there which makes it the perfect choice .

Getting to the river I didn't waste a second before pulling my dress and diving in.

The second I entered the water I felt a surge of energy pass through me , I didn't know what happened and the next moment the water was literally about to fly .

I got into a panic , I knew deep down that I did that but how did I manage to .

Since I don't know how to get the river back to how it was I decided to run away from it , maybe if I come out of the water it will go back to normal I can't help but thank the heaven that I was alone .

As I tried to come out of the river I felt something pull me back and as I turned to see what that is ,the water that was flying seconds ago dropped instantly making whatever that was holding me to pull me deeper into the river ...
