Chapter 2*Aethonaea pov*

Sinking my hand into the water I grabbed whatever that was holding my hand , as I tried to feel it , I figured it was a human hand and it was about to let go .

Instead of both of us to drown I managed to pull the person out of the river .

Panting heavily after I was done I looked at the person next to me , it was a guy

"How did you end up in this water ? That was the question that came out of my mouth but he wasn't conscious to answer me .

Getting up I looked around to see if there was anyone around but the coast was clear.

His back was red all over I crunched down and pulled his shirt up and there it was a wound it looks more like some pierced him an arrow or something ...I did not have time to start dwelling on that .

I managed to get him to turn and tilt his head backwards but that wasn't helping so I bent down to give him  a CPR for him to wake up .

After pushing his chest 30 times for compression and nothing else I had no other choice than to breathe into him as I opened his mouth and passed some of my breath to him .

One of the advantage of being treated like a slave in the palace is because I got to learn survival techniques ...

I'm glad am putting that to use now and I was not about to let he young man die on my watch .

After performing the CPR for a few more times he finally spite out water from his mouth but his eye lids were still closed .

"Hey wake up , how did you get here ? Where are you from?

I asked quickly as I saw him wake up because I needed the information to know what next to do my time to be outside will soon be over .

" Ge.. get meeee to ... a hid ... hidden place "he manged to squeeze out this words before falling back unconscious.

" You can't be serious "I said as I cursed deeply

" Why did I have to encounter this today of all days "you know I have come to accept that my birthday might actually be cursed there is no year that my birthday passed without me encountering any damage and danger .

" Sorry I can't be of help to you that much , I'm barely a human in this land "I said as I helped him to lay down very before putting on my clothes and left .

Walking half a mile away from the river when I  heard a voice

" You know you can save that young right ?

I turned my head in search of the voice ...

"You have finally become of age today and you have awaken your abilities " the voice said again

"Who are you and what do you I can save that young man ? I asked

" I am your guardian as for saving the man , you just need to say anything you want and it will happen "the voice said and I was left t speechless

I neither believed the voice words but I turned and went back to the river while going to the river the voice kept talking.

" I will enlighten you on the abilities that you have you can control water , fire and wind "the voice said

As I reached the river the young man in question was still lying in the position that I left him , thinking about how to save him .

"I want this man to wake up " I said in my mind and the voice started laughing again .

How could I have believed anything that voice said .

"I never said anything, are you a God or what that you order something to happen and it does , you can make anything happen as long as it has to do with wind , water and fire" the voice said again

"Can you hear me? I asked  out loud

" You do not need to speak out before I can hear I'm in your head and mind I can hear all your thoughts "the voice said

" What is your name ? I asked in my mind

"You can give me any name you like , you are my master " the voice said

"Hmm"

"Ahhh....

" How can I save this young man? I asked as soon as I felt the iron necklace on my neck get a bit tighter I have stayed out too long am obviously getting punished today

"Well looking at him now , he can't wake up now , he needs treatment and you can only hide him for now "

"What ? How am I suppose to do that

" How about taking him home first "the voice said and I scoffed ." Talk about home I do not have one "

" Anywhere can do , you have to get going else the necklace will get more tighter "the voice

" How do you know about that ? I asked. "

" Because I have been with you since "

" And why haven't you showed yourself since?

"Because you were not strong enough to handle me "

"Whatever , how do I get to carry him so I can sneak him into the palace " I asked

"Tell the water to do the work "

"What?

" Just follow the words in your heart "the voice said

And I could not think  of any other thing to say " dear water help me to carry this man and take him inside the palace "as I said that a ripple of water came out if the river and touched the man and he became a water ripple also making me shift backwards

" You should pick the water ripple "the voice in my head said again

And I did as it said picking the water ripple that was just as if is a piece of rock that is not heavy .

Seeing that the water ripple was in my hand I started going home  while walking fast

" You know you can reach the palace under few seconds if you ask the wind to take you "the voice said .

Even though I barely believed what the voice said I can not still help but say " dear wind take me home in my mind "and in a blink of eye I was in front of the palace .

" Woah !!! I exclaimed but the guard in front of the palace gate turned to look at me which lead to me keeping quite and the voice in my head started laughing.

"It's not funny"

"When did you get here ? The guard asked

And I just shrugged before walking into the palace.

I don't why but I suddenly feel refreshed like I'm entering into a new phase of my life

" Because you are .. "
