Chapter 4

*Zephyr pov*

My name is Zephyr Moore , I'm twenty three years old and I will be turning twenty four in a month time  .

I'm a very rude and brutal person well that's how I want all my people to see me .

I'm from the kingdom of Dragonaria  , my father the king will soon be stepping down .

The palace is a war zone with everyone fighting to get the throne when father steps down as for me I have always loved challenges since I was a kid and I'm not about to let a kingdom my mom left behind  crash down to pieces in some second wife hand .

My mom  got married to her first husband who was the king and died a year after their marriage, my mom being the only child of my late grandparents was meant to get remarried and whoever she marries automatically becomes the king .

She got married to my father whom she didn't know was already married untill after six months of their marriage before he told her about his family and he already have a son , making me the second son  of my father .

Today I will heading to the kingdom of Nyxoria , I need their alliance in the upcoming next king selection .

I heard he has three   daughters and I want to get married to one of them , I have never seen them before when I get there I will make my choice .

I need all the alliance I can get on my side ,

"You guys should use the horse I will swim through to the Nyxoria border " I Instructed my guards .

I usually do this whenever I'm traveling to another kingdom and there is a river that connects us to the kingdom , I don't know but is just fun and drawn to it because of my mother I remember how much she loved the water .

"Yes prince "

Diving into the river I set off for the search of my new bride , I can't imagine the look on my step brother when he sees that am already several steps ahead of him .

I should be able to reach the Nyxoria kingdom under five hours

I was already in the middle of the river when I saw an arrow coming towards me and I was not able to dodge it because it was too late and it ended up piercing me at my back .

I didn't waste time before pulling it out despite the pain .

My eyes darkened at the thought of a mole beside me , no one knew where I was going that means is one of my most trusted men .

I will solve that once I get back.

I was already reaching the river bank of Nyxoria kingdom but my body felt weak all over ," damn it the arrow was poisoned" I thought of that , it was the reason I pulled out the arrow the moment it pierced me but it obvious that the poison inside it was toxic "

Thinking about how to get out if here , as it stands now I can barely make it to the river banks , and the people of Nyxoria do not come to this river .

I gritted my teeth in annoyance I knew I will not die of the poison but I will be extremely weak , if my guards do not see me by the end of the end they will go into search for me , at least I can still last for three days after that I do not know, that is the number of days I can go with poison in my system and my life will not be endangered, that is one benefit I have that no one knows about .

My hope flared up when I sensed someone coming towards the river , but I was still pretty behind I tried to increase my swimming speed but it was impossible, the next minute the water in the river started flying leaving the river almost dried , looking forward I saw the back of the lady .

Her back was as white as a porcelain skin and her long hair .

"Zephyr, you must be insane " I scolded myself as I manged to walk faster without the water in as I was about to reach out to her the water came crashing back down .

"Wait the water was being controlled by the girl " I manged to grab her leg before she could leave with river .

I was half conscious when she pulled me out of the river .

Did I say I could last three days with poison in my system , I do not think I would have lasted a day with it in my system .

I didn't know how my conscious slipped away from me , and when I regained it back I heard the most sweetest voice on earth asking me questions but I could barely make out what the question was , I just manager to ask to her to hide me .

The people that shot me with that arrow are likely to follow me here and I'm already in a bad position.

I barely managed to say those words and I was unconscious again.

Opening my eyes again I was in a dark room , looking around the room it was more like a basement , and the memories of what happened in the river came rushing back to me . Feeling someone beside me I turned to see the girl her long hair was covering half of her face , I quietly pulled out the hair strands by strands to avoid waking her up .

After getting a good look at her face , I tried to stand up and I felt a sharp pain at my back it she probably be where the arrow shot me .

The girl has already treated it .

Without thinking twice I headed out if the basement , I need to let my guards know I'm fine and I need to see the Nyxoria king .

Coming out of the basement I figured out I was brought to the palace by the girl.

"Who was that girl ? Was the question in my mind as I left.

I will definitely ask King Rowan who she is ...
