Chapter 5

*Third person pov*

Prince zephyr manager to find his guards and they continued the journey to the palace .

Getting to the palace they were welcomed by King Rowan and his troupes.

After getting sitted, Zephyr decided to tell the king the reason he came .

"King Rowan, is time to let  you know the reason am here , I do not need to waste time "

"Sure prince zephyr I'm more than glad that find my kingdom deem to visit "

"I want to form an alliance with your kingdom and in return you give me what I want " zephyr said .

"Hmm" the king chuckled.

"What could I possibly have that the prince will want "?

"One of your daughters... I want to marry one of your daughters and in return we will benefit from each other " zephyr said .

"Prince zephyr you will give me time to talk to my daughter's, do you have any one in mind? King Rowan asked already thinking about the benefit he will get it zephyr became his son in law who in the neighbouring kingdom doesn't know how strong zephyr is and will be if you get an alliance with him and he is not about to lose that.

"Well I guess I will be staying till tomorrow then , we leave tomorrow afternoon" zephyr said .

"Food is ready , come have a bite" King Rowan invited zephyr to dinner zephyr was about to stand up when his eyes caught sight of Aethonaea side profile.

"It's her ..." Zephyr said .

"Is there any problem? Prince zephyr" the king asked

"Not really, just curious the girl with the yellow ribbon in her hair who is she ?

" Nobody she is just a palace maid "

" Oh do not mind me I tend to do this all the time "zephyr said in his mind.

" I should obviously get to thank her for saving me yesterday "zephyr thought as they proceed to the table and Aethonaea left the dinning room.

*After dinner*

The king summoned the queen , princess piper and princess lylah .

" Father , hope everything is alright ? Princess lylah asked

"Everything is fine just that one of you with be become prince zephyr bride tomorrow morning, I'm only giving you guys a heads-up , anyone he chooses tomorrow goes with him " King Rowan said and princess lylah and princess piper looked at each other

"Dad you can't be serious right now , how do you expect us to marry someone we know nothing about "princess lylah said

" Haven't you heard of the rumours on how wicked he is , is that the type of person you want one of us to her married to? Princess piper interjected  .

"You should worry about how wicked and brutal he is if none of you accepts his proposal , I worked hard for this kingdom and is not about to get jeopardize because of any of you "

"Sarah talk to them" the king said as he stood u to leave .

"Mother  you can't possibly be siding father right now "princess piper said.

" Your father is right , prince zephyr is not a prince to be messed with , like you said he is wicked and brutal and outright rejecting him will only mean one thing , our kingdom will be in trouble "

" You all should can go"the queen instructed and Aethonaea walked in with a small tray and tea cup inside .

*Aethonaea pov*

"I think this is finally your chance to leave the palace and find out what is wrong with your mother or find where she is " Lumin said as I walked out of the queens chamber, yes we everything they said inside there

" Have you forgotten, he said he is  marrying the king's daughter "I said I knew what she said is right.

" And have you forgotten you are the king's daughter too"Lumin said

" I could barely pull off being a maid let alone being the king's daughter "I said

" You really do not know what you are "Lumin said and when I asked her what she meant she went silent ...

It's a good time it's already night, I could use some sleep .

I do not know how the young man that I helped left , I was really thinking that I will heard something from the other maids but I did not , I guess he left for real.

And I hope he was not a spy sent to the palace and I ended up bringing him inside.

Well just like yesterday Lumin did a good job at humming me a song and I slept off.

I woke up pretty early the next morning cause I did not want a repeat of what happened yesterday, especially since the princesses are already having a bad day .

And I dreamt of my mother , I know I always dreamt of her but yesterday's felt different.

"What was the dream about? Lumin asked .

I could barely remember it but I saw her in a cage or something similar calling out for me to come and help her and before I could do that I woke up  , what that possible mean ? I asked Lumin

"I think your mom is probably trying to talk to you " Lumin said and it made sense .

"You know prince zephyr could really be the way out for you to leave this palace , what if your mom is really in danger and has been for the past fourteen and waiting for you to save her , are you just going to throw away the one opportunity you get to leave the palace and save her away ? Lumin asked but I didn't answer I just stood up and left to do my morning chores.

After preparing breakfast and setting the table i stood at the corner I was determined to leave this palace today no matter what .

The king , queen and the princesses all arrived but the prince hasn't after like five minutes he came and my eyes wide up when I saw who it was , the young man that I saved he was the prince ...

How could this be .

We both locked eyes ,"does he recognize me ? I asked no one in particular I tried as much as I could to not look at him but I could feel his eyes on me even as he speaks

" I will like to know you all decision before the meal " the prince said

"Prince zephyr you are allowed to pick from my two daughters the one you pick will be your Bride "the king said

and I knew it was the time for him to choose his bride and it was my only  chance I will rather present myself to him than let him choose .
