I didn't trust the guy personally, and Rick's reaction to the idea was also less than enthusiastic. 

"So, you want to be friends?" Rick replied sarcastically. "How do you propose that would work? 

I was curious about that myself. I had a difficult time envisioning this guy hanging out at the office and going over case files. Going  out to dinner with him felt  like a bad idea.
